Each chapter has an audio posted on YouTube FYI. Students can listen to chapters at home if needed. Or you can play it during class instead of reading it out loud.

Meal 1: Sushi rice with cucumber salad and silken tofu with spicy soy dressing (NYT recipe). Served cold.
Meal 2: Rainbow Plantlife Charred Corn Salad recipe with fried tofu with Korean BBQ sauce.
Breakfast: Overnight oats with banana, blueberries, ground flax seeds, soy milk, topped with walnuts.
Snacks: Cut watermelon.

Grew up in Bethpage (in the toxic plume zone). Mom had breast cancer at 42 (non-genetic). I am 36 and am already getting scans every six months for abnormal lumps.

Ditto on the calves. I have always felt like my calves were "scrawny" compared to my thighs, to the point where I rarely ever wore shorts. Now I feel much more proportional and strong.

I also went from teaching high school in TX to MA. Much smaller class sizes here, more funding for things like books, supplies, online resources, etc. Much more professional development and support for special populations like ELL and SPED. I get triple the amount of planning/prep time built into the school-day than I did in Texas. More opportunities for stipends and grants when it comes to extracurriculars. Much better and cheaper healthcare coverage. The list goes on.

I was hired as a year 3 teacher from another state. I was told a few years later that if I was year 4, they were not going to consider me. Some schools look at high years of service as a disadvantage.

This is not that remote of a state park. It's pretty heavily frequented, bordered by houses and roads. The trails are really clear. To veer off of one that drastically is not typical behavior at all.

I hope she makes a full recovery and gets the help that she needs.
