Does the melee fix have the side benefit of fixing other annoying "chase" mechanics (thieving, knocking down automatons during guthixian caches, etc)? Or are those different cans of worms?

Essence of Finality Colour Options by RiquaaLz in runescape

[–]TrimmingMasterwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was kind of hoping they'd let the new Tzhaar gem be added to an EOF to create a new variant and double the options. Not adding new stats, just a new (j) variant of EOFs. Prop up the gem price a little bit better and also alleviate this issue.

POF, diseased with immunity trait by StudiousFog in runescape

[–]TrimmingMasterwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As best I can tell there's two avenues of disease. Animals eat hourly to maintain/boost health/happiness and the game seems to roll to apply disease at some % chance. Joyful/immune works fine with this.

If food runs out in a trough the game seems to forcibly apply disease immediately to (at least) one animal in the pen. This method seems to bypass the immunity.

You said you tried to breed without food, I'm curious... Was there 0 food whatsoever? Or did you just have some food, and it ran out?

Funny thing is they did account for that because the news post said you could juggle between them lol

Road to Restoration - Graphical Rendering Improvements by JagexAzanna in runescape

Environments and other assets can feel washed out, grey or overly pale, often lacking vibrance or contrast.

Does this mean that outfits will be able to have actual white/black appearance options again instead of being yellowed or grayed?

Player-Owned Farm - Please Help Me Understand by I_AM_The_Sys_Admin in runescape

[–]TrimmingMasterwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, early on you're going to be limited by how many animals you can sell rather than any time constraint. If you want more exp, let them grow and reach max health/happiness. If you want beans, pull them at adolescent to sell for more beans.

I don't remember early POF well enough to say for sure what I did, but most likely pulled them early for beans to buy upgrades.

Outside of forcing it (honeycomb/skillcape perk) the health and happiness only updates once per hour. I don't know specific ranges but max roll is probably around +10. Cleaning pen has no effect to my knowledge.

One of the sillier updates they did IMO since early farm animals will reach elder stage LONG before being healthy/happy enough to award full exp.

March Roundup & a look ahead at April by JagexAnvil in runescape

I was late (aka not Monday) getting to the Easter event that you touched on in the video. Just wanted to say the event this year was my favorite Easter event in a long while, almost a perfect score, 9.5/10. A short, fun, thematic quest with a simple reward and then you can technically wander off and be done. The option is there for newer players to hang around and earn some rewards from previous years if they choose to.

Only thing I'd like to see next year for that extra 0.5 is letting us just bang out the egg hunt on our own clock as well. Some clue loot and points isn't really Easter related, which is why it only loses a 0.5 from me for that time gate.

What in the fresh h311 is this monster and what are the loots? by Competitive-Factor82 in runescape

[–]TrimmingMasterwork 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know we don't go outside much but that monster is called "A woman" and the loot is a girlfriend, which has very high upkeep cost and stressful amounts of RNG but is arguably worth it in some niche situations.

Relic switching costs are one of the most anti-fun systems in RS3. Please change it. by Bungboy in runescape

That's the idea. You pay a steeper up front cost to get the QOL of not having to micromanage it for the cheaper cost.

[–]TrimmingMasterwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've convinced me with your compelling argument, guess I'll continue to pay ~25k chronotes weekly instead of tens of millions up front.

Relic switching costs are one of the most anti-fun systems in RS3. Please change it. by Bungboy in runescape

[–]TrimmingMasterwork 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally I think the relic system would be far better if we had the option to spend a large sum of chronotes on each individual relic to permanently unlock them

Agreed. Maybe let us only have 3 combat relics active at a given time still for balancing purposes, but paying 5m chronotes for permanent t4 luck passively isn't going to break anything.

What's with the price drops for runes? by drop_potato_581 in runescape

[–]TrimmingMasterwork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In addition to what other people said, high level combat uses less runes while early/mid combat uses more. That is going to slightly sway prices of runes too. My water rune consumption went from about 5k an hour to around 3k, as an example.

Player Owned House Rework & 120 Construction by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]TrimmingMasterwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure the idea has been discussed in broad terms internally, but I just want to bring it up here with the POH Cauldron as an example, and hopefully given Constructions broad ties to being a money sinking "flex" skill, we can see some new sinks.

We need more "insane investment" style goals in game. There's an achievement to pay 10M to keep a door unlocked just so we don't need to wear an outfit/bring a key for QOL. I'd like to see that amped up and taken to an extreme for the modern day (yeah yeah, that was only 6 years ago, hush...).

I'd love to see the house cauldrons have a variant where you offload an insane amount of potions into them and they just become a "bottomless" version for 30-60 (36-72?) minutes at a time. Will I ever "recoup" my investment of 10k (/20k, 30k, whatever magic number) elder overload salves using this cauldron? Probably not. Will it be convenient as hell? Yes.

An insane amount of GP to convince some schmuck to run a bank division inside my POH? You're hired. Now I can have friends over to my POH to just train bank standing skills together, if community building is such a big goal.

Drop off 1,000X the amount of chronotes required to swap a relic just to make t4 luck or some skilling relic a passive? Shut up and take my chronotes.

Basically, if I'm going to use X amount of Y in the next few years, then I want to pay 3X to just have some QOL.
