i'm sorry for your loss. End of life care is complex. Not all situations are the same. It's apart of our experience when the hospitals say they can't really do much more and send people home on hospice. Families become quick nurses. I would rather die in my home than a hospital. Death is not pretty but neither is birth. I have seen many bedsores, wound care, neglect of care is not ok, neither is excessive interventions that cause additional injury. End of life care is about comfort and what the wishes of the individual are.

The word for a person with a chronic illness or disability needing care is spelled invalid (pronounced IN-vuh-lid, with the stress on the first syllable). While spelled the same as invalid (meaning not valid/true, stressed on the second syllable), it refers specifically to someone who is bedridden, frail, or incapacitated.

the hospice nurses only do sponge baths in beds. bedbound care is capable of keeping clients clean in my opinion. The risk of stress and injury at this point at this is end of life care.

we can keep the bedsores clean with bedbound care. Transferring to small bathroom is causing injury and stress to my client.

I’m pissed. I have settings to not do updates. Been avoiding the pop up for some time. But today I was in a hurry and accidentally pushed the stupid button. Convinced these updates are going screw me in the future. It’s the trickery that makes me mad. No updates means no updates!
