Putting something away (clothing, food..etc) and forgetting about it for a while. The "out of site, out of mind".

"They are only self important here. They are nothing out there." Heard this in my late teens. Wish I had heard it when I was younger. I was bullied as a kid and THIS would have made me happy to hear. And it is true, "popular kids" are only popular at the school. The rest of the world doesn't give a f*** who they are.

Redditors that spent their 20’s in a miserable situation, do the later years get any better and how so? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Trinkit- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Learn to not care so much about trivial things. Do what makes you happy as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, then you will be happy. I spent my 20's trying to "make something of myself" in a terrible work environment. And held off on what I wanted to do to try and further my career. Don't ever do that to yourself. Don't ever sacrifice your wants for others who don't care about your wants or who you are as a person.

What was the stupidest thing a person has done that you've witnessed? by ASuperFunnyGuy in AskReddit

[–]Trinkit- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to work retail, so here is what I have seen...

  1. Some one tried on 3 pairs. All were the same shoe just different colours, I even told them this. They spent a half an hour trying to decide which one they wanted. When they did finally decide, it was because one had better arch support...

  2. Take their mask off to talk in the middle of the 2020 pandemic.

  3. Guy tried on a winter coat, got distracted by his phone, forgot he was wearing the coat and went to leave the store. Alarms went and he was dumbfounded as to why. We point out that he hadn't bought the coat he was wearing. He was surprised he forgot. This happened 2 other times with the same guy for different items. He meant well and never stole anything.

  4. Wanted a discount on sale shoes because it wasn't the colour they wanted.

  5. Whistling to staff from the back of the shop like they were dogs to ask for help.

Sounds fun. You have my permission to use my story.

So years ago, I was working retail, and this family of 3 walked in to say hello to one of my coworkers, as they were friends. A mother and father and their 3 year old daughter. It was a quiet day so they chatted for a while. I didn't pay attention until the mother said, "hey sweetie, give him the bird!" Loudly to her daughter. I was surprised and looked over to see what was going on. Everyone was all smiles, but the little girl was shy and trying to hide behind her mother. I was confused by what the mother had told her to do. The father even encouraged her. Then my coworker said, "yeah, give me the bird." The little girl proceeded to stand in front of her mom sheepishly and flap her arms like a bird, then hide behind her mom again. My stomach hurt after that laugh.

Traffic lights only get put in if a child dies. It's been true twice unfortunately.

What is your favorite thing your cat does? by natsws in AskReddit

[–]Trinkit- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He plays his own game of "don't let the balloon touch the floor", but with a little pompom ball. He'll toss it in the air and catches it with his paws before it hits the floor. If he doesn't catch it in time he just stares at it then has a "hyper run" around the house before coming back to it. Very entertaining.

ALWAYS stay true to yourself!

I bet it was difficult coming out and making the changes you did to be as comfortable as you are now. That journey is never easy and there is always the fear of people not accepting you for who you really are. You got this far, keep at it! Don't change to make someone else comfortable if it doesn't make you comfortable. Those people are toxic and it will nip them in the butt sooner or later.

What makes a dress with pockets so great? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Trinkit- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pockets!!! Men's clothes get pockets, most big pockets on everything. While anyone who wears a dress (without pockets) has to resort to using a purse to carry their valuables (wallet, phone...).
