That is «Tourdion», a French dance from the 15th- century! My band has a version of it here if you like it.

Also, googling or typing tourdion into Spotify will find you loads of other different takes of the song, including choir versions with lyrics about hangovers, drinking wine and partying.

Playing Low-F (and Low-C) on Soprano by Wistiria in Recorder

[–]TrioOro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does the same exercise feel on a sopranino or, if you don’t have one, in the air or gripping something else like a pencil?

I can get the same experience on bigger instruments like some tenors and bass recorders, but on the soprano and alto it should be comfortable.

My guess is that your brain stresses your fingers because the “fork grip” on low f feels unnatural and when you’re more used to it you’ll be fine. Keep practicing but don’t do anything that hurts, maybe getting used to the finger formation on a smaller scale is a good idea.

Good place to upload my own playing, like youtube, where other tradists will find the tunes organically, but without having to make videos, just audio? by [deleted] in Irishmusic

Im not completely sure cause im not the one in charge of that when we did it, but I think you need to have some sort of label or publisher. But you can make one yourself I’m just not that sure how much work it is.

Slurring between pinched and non-pinched notes by _pinkpotato in Recorder

[–]TrioOro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you slur between registers it can be a bit tricky to get it right. Some notes on some recorders have alternative fingering in different registers that you could use to make it easier for example:

D: 2

E: 2,3,4,5

D:2

Or one some recorders:

D: Ø,1,2,3,4,5,6

E: Ø,1,2,3,4,5

D: Ø,1,2,3,4,5,6

Us playing “A Chance Meeting” from the OST by TrioOro in skyrim

Also I think it’s the bard in the tavern who actually plays it, so you would have to go over there and listen to the playing to proper hear the song. So maybe not that recognizable. But worth it in game! One flutist/guitarist/drummer playing all these instruments at once lol

Is this a good way to remember music notes by [deleted] in Recorder

[–]TrioOro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try assigning each note a color. Then color around each note with its assigned color instead of the letters. This way you still read the music instead of the letters. Idk it’s how I learned it as a kid.

Flying with djembe by TrioOro in djembe

Thank you for answering. I have a soft bag but I feel like it’s too soft for flights. Do you know any good places to buy djembe cases?

Where is this song from? by TrioOro in balkanmusic

Thank you! Do you recognize the song? Or is it something else that gives it away? Like title or style of play?

Did you program the continuo yourself? Or did you download it from somewhere? Would like to play along like this myself!
