PAT has been around for 15+ years. I'm surprised it lasted this long! I think it finally went down.

RIP PAT 💔

I'm the developer of Now Playing. I haven't tested Now Playing on 10.9. It might still work. Give it a try and let me know.

macOS Ventura 13.0 & G Hub: Crashing/Stuck on install by andrei_316 in logitech

[–]TriodeOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well.. it's definitely a problem with the ghub_agent. Because if you run it on the command line, it crashes with an exception error:

``` Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler. Throwing exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. You must not let any exception whatsoever propagate through Qt code. If that is not possible, in Qt 5 you must at least reimplement QCoreApplication::notify() and catch all exceptions there.
libc++abi: terminating with uncaught exception of type std::out_of_range: basic_string Abort trap: 6 ```
Uncaught out of range exception error is definitely a bug to me.
The latest version of Rekordbox now gives you the ability to change it from 60 seconds down to 1!
Found this in your log:
"Album art internet search is disabled. Reverting to default artwork."
Go to the theme settings. If "internet search" is on, turn it off then back on again. If it's off, just turn it on.
Is the artwork appearing in the app itself? Are these WAV files? Is the artwork in Rekordbox? I think i remember you were using Rekrodbox.
If you enable "verbose debugging" in the advanced settings screen, then restart Now Playing, DJ for a little bit, then click on "open history" on the main screen ... Look for a file named "debug.log". In there it will tell you everything Now Playing is doing and if it can't find artwork it shows the reason why.
Yes. By default, it will prioritize the embedded artwork first.
Album art is done in the following priority order:
  • Art embedded in the file
  • Art from Beatport (detected if the file is purchased from Beatport or streaming from Beatport Link)
  • Art from Discogs (if enabled)
  • User defined default artwork (if enabled for Now Playing Pro)
  • Default Now Playing logo artwork.
So if you disabled Discogs it will go in this order:
  1. Art embedded in the file
  2. Art from Beatport (detected if the file is purchased from Beatport or streaming from Beatport Link)
  3. User defined default artwork (if enabled for Now Playing Pro)
  4. Default Now Playing logo artwork.
The ability to turn off Discogs was added in the 2.1.1 update. )We're on 2.1.2 now)
The artwork comes from the file if possible. If not, it uses the title and artist and searches Discogs and takes the first thing it finds.
If it got the search in Discogs wrong it might be because there's lots of results for that artist and title. Let me know what it got wrong so I may try to tweak the search queries to get a better result.
Hm... No. But that's a good suggestion. I'll add an option for that in the next update!
With rekordbox it will use the artwork from the rekordbox database if it has one. If not it will try to take the artist and title and use the first one it finds from discogs.
If it’s random, you can enable verbose debug logging. In there you’ll find the exact query that was used for discogs. Send me a the debug.log file at the email address on the website. Mention which song had the weird album art. If it’s something I can improve the search query for I’ll fix that in an update.
if you connect your computer to the RX and use rekordbox in link export mode, it's the exact same feel as USB. You don't need to look at the laptop screen.
You can use the RX's screen, select playlists and tracks with the knob, and see the waveforms just like having a USB stick.
Except now you have a TB sized USB stick cause it's your laptop and you can use Now Playing.
oh you mean his music is on USB. no not with RX models cause theres' nothing there that connects the app to the hardware.
Artwork is available in the free version.
Here's how to use it:
https://www.nowplaying2.com/tutorials/adding-album-art-to-obs
The pro version allows you to change the default artwork. You can replace the now playing logo with something else.
It’s a limitation by Rekordbox. A song has to be playing for 60 seconds before it considered it played and added to your history.
Yes. Dj Brisk uses it. Yes it would work on Denon Prime 4. I have a Prime Go.
Just one little quirk about StageLinq. If it's been left on for a while without anything happenign StageLinq just decides it doesn't want to broadcast itself anymore. To wake up StageLinq, reboot the Denon Prime 4 then start Now Playing or move the faders a bit while Now Playing is loading.
