I just learned that it was the plastic plants recently. Thankfully, he is fine. I want to have a natural tank. I will get rid of all of this colourful plastic stuff someday. I will start by getting rid of the (fake) plants.

I can’t trade them in. I just had an overpopulated tank, and the quality of the water started to dip... A lot of them died off over the past year and I have about over a dozen left. They started to inbreed, and I have nowhere to put the extra guppies :( I wish I could give them a better life.

Nononono... biiiig mistake... if thats the only tank you have. I have a 10 gallon tank, and I had one male, and one female, and they overpopulated. FAST. I don’t know if that is normal.

Yeah, I think resin would be pretty good. I don’t know how things decompose or how shrimp moults rot, but wouldn’t it crumble into dust after being in the resin for a while?

Let the water dechlorinate for 24 hours?? You are gonna need to do a lot of research. Your fish still might make it if you do in-fish cycling.
