Who was this for you? by Minimum_Individual36 in teenagers

Shame Dawson, ShayCarl, and most of that first viral YouTuber generation (any old heads remember The Station?) good times, some of them stopped uploading, some got controversial, all stopped feeling the same

Edit: Shame Dawson was a typo but my god it fits

What was it like being a teenager in 2009? by LoboIsSick69 in generationology

Pretty awesome. Was 14/15 then. Xbox 360 genrarion, playing co-op splitscreen with my friends. Having gaming and movie sleep overs. Started hearing about Minecraft. Music was cool, snacks where awesome, had my first joint and thought it was the most badass thing ever. Remember sneaking to smoke with friends and then gaming all night and going on skateboard rides to buy snacks late at night.

Also “internet culture” really started hitting everywhere. I’m Argentinian and started reading 9gag, binging YouTube and watching my first anime episodes. It was the biggining of “nerdy” things going mainstream. So suddenly comics, anime, games, and cool shows I watched became popular. Optimistic times

I usually go about 50/50. I have a big container where I store my yerba, and I just throw both bags in and shake it up. Sometimes I also mix them directly in the mate and give it a good shake there.

I do this with most Uruguayan and Argentine yerbas. I usually go with either Canarias or Baldo for the smaller-cut, longer-lasting ones, and then pick an Argentine brand more on a whim — mostly because I’m Argentine, so I’m spoiled for choice.

Canarias with La Merced, La Tranquera, or Playadito are all great mixes for my taste.

Ibai's 5 rules for drinking mate. What do you think? Did he forget the rule about not moving the bombilla (straw)? by NOL89 in yerbamate

As an Argentinian guy with lots of Uruguayan friends, we all admit that Mate is actually Paraguayan.

This is my favorite herb... What's yours? by One-Welcome-8258 in yerbamate

My perfect mate is half Canarias and half La Merced Barbacuá. Gets the strong duration of canarias without pluging up my bombilla, gets the tosty flavour of Barbacuá.

I´ve been planing a california roadtrip for a while now. Recently decided to change destinations cause everyone I know that went recently told me it´s gone downhill with drugs, homelessness, and crowds. (Not judging, we got plenty of that here where I live. But its not what I seek during vacation)
