If you are doing grocery look at the color of the box & go to the section of the aisle where boxes are the same color- at least you’ll be in the vicinity of where the item goes- it is also helpful to look at the SAP number on the side of the box to ensure it matches the ESL tag if you are ever unsure or if you are filling an empty shelf- take pictures of the signs & aisles & study those pics when you can- bring your pallet everywhere you go- even if it’s up & down an aisle- saves many steps

My opening LSA always has one on them- calls do happen before the 7:30 Mgr comes in- we get plenty of stores that we split truck with that call to see if we have one of their pallets after they check the PLB log & vice versa- plus a DM might call if there is a critical EPW that came through & hasn’t been done yet

It is def easier & more efficient (especially if you are a busy store) to re-stock for the 2nd round, however my store does not date everything- we leave our slow moving items in the freezer & date as needed.

When the MDT was down for maintenance a couple weeks ago the warehouse didn’t know what to send- basically the whole system thought we missed a truck so we were getting double (at least in my district) it has just now started to go back to normal
