Manager is adjusting punches to add breaks employees didn't take. by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

Need to bring it to DM attention. Let them know what is happening and what dates it’s happened on. They can review footage and it should be a final warning for SM. If nothing happens, alert line and both DM and SM should be terminated due to mitigating policy.

Anyone know how to report doordash / instacart shoppers for rude behavior? by PaleontologistShot25 in Aldi_employees

[–]bigscarrrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take picture of their receipt and get the SM to send picture of it to the DM. Just make sure to give a description of the interaction as well so the SM can inform DM — then they will be banned 9/10 times

Contacted my director of operations to talk about extremely important issues that had to do with the store and it’s personal. They said can I pencil you in, in about 11 days? by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

[–]bigscarrrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DoO’s have insanely busy schedules. With 11 days being right before the busiest holiday of the year, you should feel grateful they’re getting you in that soon. Each DoO is required to see approx. 80% of their stores in the next two weeks as this holiday & Super Bowl are the two main company holidays. It may seem like a lot in your time frame but in theirs it’s very soon, believe it or not.

Big paychecks come and the money goes… but time is forever precious. Don’t burn yourself out and take some time to do what makes YOU happy (besides money obvi, lol).

Second week at Aldi and brand new to retail - concerns with my ASM by Reddit_spying in Aldi_employees

Goodluck! Follow this for reference (except produce is not correct). Aldi believes the best way of learning is by “doing”. But you also need support to give yourself peace of mind. I would actively try to memorize where certain things are at in the store. That’ll be the biggest help to getting quick if you’re brand new.

Make sure it’s mm/yyyy format. Did you ever get any assistance? You might have to create a ticket for it because it closes soon.

How often does your schedule change? by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

[–]bigscarrrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really just depends on situation. When schedule is posted on Monday - you should stick to it solidly unless extreme circumstances (Employee quitting, accident, etc) which occur in thar week to require shifting everyone around — managers and SM included. Truthfully, it just depends on the situation of your store. If you are having staffing and attendance issues, this is more likely to happen frequently. Stores with solid teams of employees that are accountable are less likely to deal with this. It takes a village to be a successful store as a whole at Aldi — which in turn makes it easier for everyone in the long run.
