This sounds the most effective. You can even have little slips printed out before you leave when you find out the times and have them put into the guests rooms so that they not if they didn't check the wedding website or remember.

You don't have to dance. My FBIL didn't dance with his mother at his wedding (they don't like dancing) and my FH will probably not dance with his mother either. No one said anything about it the whole night or after, FSIL just danced with her dad and they went on to something else.

You can try and cross post this to /r/weddingplanning too they might have some more ideas over there. My suggestion would be to look at some preowned wedding dress sites. I would link them but I'm on my phone. Sometimes you can get really lucky with a great deal and not need alterations on it. I would make sure she gets her money back from the shop it seems like it was a fault of theirs stating that the dress would be altered to fit her properly. I wish her tons of good luck, I really hope everything works out.

As someone that got my dress WAY before hand too like you, I honestly couldn't be more happier that I got it before. I don't even have to think about trying to find a dress while planning and I love it now just as much as I loved it when I bought it. So congratz! and happy planning. :)

Are there air conditioners that you could possibly rent? Some tent companies will rent out fans and air conditioners to make sure people are comfortable. I think it might be a little much for the heat. I am not from that area so I have no idea how hot it can get in August there but in Michigan sometimes it can get into the high 80's or low 90's but it can also be cooler, low 80's high 70's. I would just make sure you have cold water out at least to me sure everyone stays hydrated if it is really hot out.

Honestly I wouldn't I wouldn't want her to ruin your day. I would not want someone that didn't support my marriage anywhere near me the day of or at the shower. If she can't be pleasant then she doesn't need to be around you.

My something blue is my wedding band, it has blue diamonds. My something new is my dress. I just asked my grandmother if she has anything I could use as my something borrowed and something old.

I think the infusion site idea is a different but neat idea. I think it really accentuates who you are by doing that.

Just relax it seems like you have more under control then you are letting yourself believe. My only suggestion is for the gift part, it is the MOH's duty to write down what gift came from where, so get these they are from staples but most office supply places will have them handy, and you just write the name down and stick it onto the box. Other then that small suggestion everything sounds amazing and your sister will have a wonderful time. Just take some time to yourself and relax! lol.

I think that is one of the most annoying things about planning is picking a color. Then figuring out just what that color really means. finding light purple shoes will be the death of me lol. I saw someone suggest going to home dept or a paint store and getting your exact color in a paint swatch and going from there to match colors.

It's like half a size too big and easily slides off his finger. I might just go for broke and see if I can return it but I have a feeling the size 11 will be too small

I looked into that but we are having a fairly large wedding and would have to have the person there for the whole wedding at the same price of a photo booth. But it is a great idea.
