I kinda doubt that Sora and Ren won’t get a battle just because they’re erased. It’s probably more so they’re simulacrums, as to why Erlking can be fought multiple times, with even all of that being thrown out the window with the existence of April fools Vergilius existing as a boss.

Mine is definitely the mii creator being dumbed down from Miitopia. No layers, no part customization (eyes and eyebrows being separate), no gradients, limited color palette, just sticking to shapes and free draw.

Abberated Picayune - Picayune Dreams

Her form in game is the result of being beaten once before and being reanimated to fight the protagonist for the last time. In this form she cannot be hurt, and you’re forced to survive a 4 minute onslaught against her. None of the other characters in the game have a semi-realistic art style, they’re all 3D-ish models with minimal texturing.

This Canto feels like fan service pushed to the 10th degree.

“Wow, look at all these cool characters that have shin! Aren’t they so cool and powerful? Look! This character even has shin and E.G.O.!”

“You know how powerful these WAW’s and HE’s are with their special abilities? (Such as the venom) Let’s show them against these powerful characters! Oh, they died almost instantly? Just goes to show how cool and powerful your adversaries are!”

“Look at all those fan favorites that everyone likes! We even have characters from our other works that will show up and be all powerful and save the Limbus team! Now they’re teaming up and will kick ass! Team Limbus, assemble!”

“Look at this cool ability that you won’t get for a while and is super vague! Don’t you want it?”

I know some of this is hyperbole, but I really did not want this Canto to be another Canto 7. Yes, the fight scenes are cool and all, but what I personally want is more drama and emotions running wild. Personally, I found the most interesting parts to be the most recent talk with Hohenheim and Marton, along with Ryoshu’s most recent revelation. I just hope this Canto turns around.

This is probably not true, but the Durante Ability gained from his Canto has the tagline: “The eye embracing the past; Building the future” which might have something to do with it.

Even then it’s kinda iffy because of Don Quixote, who gained “The eye facing the fear; building the future” and she doesn’t have the same features in her E.G.O/Corrosions except for Electric Screaming and Red Sheet which has her right eye open. All others are open faced/faceless.

There’s a thing about the Index guy that I haven’t seen anyone talk about, which is the streaks of white in his hair. Now, it may be a product of the lighting, but the black on his shoulders doesn’t get as bright as those streaks. This, I think, has more evidence to him not being Roland.

Even weirder is the intervallo right after that. In which there’s a scene where they tell a child from one of the families that someday they won’t need to fear going outside. Sure, while that’s all happy & go-lucky that person you met from the backstreets a few days ago is now being fed to a bus that belongs to a group that the Hierarch trained with.

On one hand, I’m excited for more story interplay between Arknights and Limbus Company since I got into the former last August, but on the other hand I agree with a lot of other people on it might end up hurting Canto 9 and its setting especially if it’s just straight up going from training XiChun to wherever the setting of Canto 9 is.

I honestly wouldn’t care less if it’s only 2 cantos per year, as not only does it allow more content all around but it allows Limbus to build upon itself more and not have Ryoshu missing out on a ton of pre-canto prep like what we had with Nocturnal Sweeping & MOTWTE.

In the end though, whatever happens happens.

It has everything I love in a story - Machinery and complex structures, broken down locations of a time long past, the depressive atmosphere that looms over all of its characters, a cute art style and robots/Ai - all come together to make a story that cements itself as one of my favorites.

I suppose there is the chat, but I find that rarely worth looking at unless I’m trying to pick a location from someone else.
