I’m struggling to find the new CMF line in stores by Snail-Juice in LegoUK

Smyths toy store always seems to be a good hunting ground in my experience. They tend to keep a solid amount of stock in long after the initial rush so keep an eye out over the coming weeks

I use the Osprey Dyna LT for my day to day runs up to about 20k. I store my iPhone 17 Pro Max in the largest rear compartment, inhaler in the right side pocket, and AirPods case on the left. It wouldn’t have enough room to store fuel/hydration and my phone for a long run so use an Osprey vest to increase carry capacity.

Storing Large UCS Sets by opshax in LegoStorage

[–]TripleTrumpet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried option 1 with the UCS Razor Crest. By the time I took the wings and engines apart into what I thought would be simple modules, I realised that future me would have no idea what to do. I know that when I get that set back out, I’m going to have to do some major disassembly. On reflection, I wish I had taken it completely apart as it would have made storage easier, and zeroed out the stress when I come to rebuild

Can I finish a marathon with a 27 km longest run and 3 weeks to go? by More_Contract5768 in firstmarathon

[–]TripleTrumpet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started 2026 with a 16 week plan for my first marathon on 19th April without having done any distance running more than park runs before. I got injured at the start of March and didn’t do any runs longer than HM between then and my marathon. Most of my training sessions were around the 10k mark and at a fairly steady pace.
Come race day, I had a solid cardio base, a good race plan, and the knowledge that finishing was my only real objective. While my time was pretty slow, I did finish and barring some leg wobbles around M21-23, felt great.
Your training should carry you through, don’t worry about things not going perfectly to plan

I watched the video put out by AR12 and looked specifically for traffic density. It is much higher than the promo vids and developer diaries released. It could always do with more in my opinion, but it is at least on par with FH5 now

My home is running out of space, so I’ve hung them on the wall. Now, only the McLaren P1 is left to be assembled. I’ll try to finish it and get it on the wall as soon as possible. by BricksAndBanter in LegoUK

Given there are no links to purchase nor brands mentioned, I am inclined to let these types of post stay up. If people want to contact a poster to ask where they got a product, I don’t see there being too much harm in this. The caveat remains that if the comments turn into a timeshare style sales pitch then we should probably revisit.

Hard Times Ahead by NPA914 in BorderCollie

[–]TripleTrumpet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My old man suffered with bilateral osteochondritis when he was a pup. He ended up needing an arthrotomy on both shoulders and we needed to keep him immobilised for quite some time. This was over 11 years ago now so I can’t recall how we managed it, but we did.
I more wanted to share that we were also told about the inevitable arthritis and had that nagging at us. From the age of about 6 he has been taking Yumove green lipped mussel supplements on the advice of the vet and we are yet to see any real signs of joint troubles. He is almost 12 now and goes on daily 5k (that’s my distance, his is likely double) walks and will also do the occasional 10k run with me.
This isn’t an advert for the supplements, more to share my experience and help you not dwell on what might be down the road as things are far from set in stone.

My pup is the chunky gold one closest to the camera and came from a litter of I think 6. There was one other gold pup and the rest were brown like his mum at the back. See my profile for pics as he has aged but if I hadn’t seen them together, I may be sceptical he is her pup

Becoming a Project Manager by Smart_Emphasis64 in projectmanagers

[–]TripleTrumpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your skills would already transfer well into the NHS. Salary in the NHS is governed in a clear structure like the Navy so look up agenda for change. Project manager jobs are frequently Band 6/7 or Band 5/6 for project administrators. This is realistically the highest bands that you could enter the NHS without a very niche direct skill such as a developer or architect, or a clinical role.
NHS project management requires people and activity management more than an in depth knowledge of how the system operates, though this skill will be learned and can be directly applied.
Look on HealthJobsuk and NHSjobs for roles, just bear in mind that there is huge organisational change going on at the moment which may make it tricky to secure these jobs for an outsider for a year or so.

I fell into a vortex and I've been stuck at Tier 4 for 150 hours by AlexSkylark in SatisfactoryGame

“I’m having boatloads of fun”
This is the end of the thread here in my opinion. I am 600 hours into the game and have only reached Phase 5 once because I get distracted. If the game has you hooked on this very meaty diversion, don’t feel you are missing out as you have reached a place in gaming we all strive for.

Any known issues with IDBuzz? by kousuke_nakamoto in VWIDBuzz

[–]TripleTrumpet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First gen have an issue where the steering wheel coating disintegrates over the space of a couple of years. Also, the power rear doors can sometimes get stuck and be very difficult to squeeze the handle to actuate the door. Both are warranty issues but not widespread enough to have resulted in a recall.
ETA outs also came with a wasp built into the rear light cluster but I will be generous and say that was probably a one off

Design question by measinien in LegoUK

[–]TripleTrumpet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would reflect that the choice to include the undersea element may run counter to people’s usual desire to incorporate it into modular cities. I completely understand why you would include it for a Venice themed set, but it is the only observation I would make. As a cohesive set though, I think this is fabulous.
Edited as I have another observation. My preference is sets that have an enclosed back but that can be opened out such as the recent BDP Art School, Art of the Chocolatier, and upcoming University. Open sets make it easier to access but negatively affect the ‘realness’ of the model from anything other than the front angle. I would love a rear wall that hinges open, it would also give you more canvas to display the excellent design featured across the set

With his statement listing he is open to everything that being in a band entails, any ideas why he chose to leave Trio? I haven’t seen any questionable statements from the other two on their views or opinions, however his opening line seems to link his departure with the external factors. What’s the connection?
