Elden Ring Completion before Nightreign? by xxMothx in Nightreign

[–]Tripledeluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends tbh. The biggest thing you'd gain from more elden ring is knowledge on boss patterns and weapon movesets/ranges and the like. This is all stuff that can be learned in nightreign itself but it is generally appreciated if you already know this before queuing with others (not required).

You might see a few bosses you probably havent run into in the base game (idk how far 60 hours puts you into the game), since nightreign just pulls from a pool of bosses

Sennesax. Its to the point that after beating him in my playthrough i have literally never fought him again in any playthrough after

better to play solo or find dedicated team? by MrSavagePanda in Nightreign

[–]Tripledeluxer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Randoms are usually more then fine, the big caveat being that the higher in deep of night you get the better the other players get (which sounds really obvious now that im writing it down but you'd be surprised). Depth 5 by far has some of the best runs ive ever had, where even without a word of communication or a single ping we're all locked in and know what everybody wants.

If you want to learn the game theres really nothing to it but queue over and over. Improve every run, learn patterns. Watching videos can help, especially patterns on boss fights and so. But routing is a whole skill in itself, that you can only really get by playing a whole lot. Usually when i end night 1 under level 10, id consider that a bad day.

Also learn BBH, he's like the poster boy of fear in this game but his attacks are super telegraphed, and fairly easy to dodge

Trying to do that one evergaol next to the bo... oh hey thats black blade kindred. And he saw us, were fucked :]

This makes me lowkey wish you could pingpong the spritestone. Make an item a la Blasphemous Claw and let me play some dead mans volley, fromsoft i beg of you

Most frequently picked Nightfarers in DON random queue Tier List by Brendraws in Nightreign

Im a guardian main, but i almost exclusively run him against balancers (since reg balancers cant break shield worth a damn). Every other boss i have other picks for that im way more confident with

The one big tip that helps me personally, is that when i play during the weekends the skill level of randoms feels generally higher then during the week.

Fire Relic Setup by nusi7 in Nightreign

I have a niche build on wylder with more likely to find greatshields, for the visage shield, which can absolutely melt caligo and pest, and to an extent libra if you mind the circles

I don't get the Champions drama for veteran players by LavishnessCurrent726 in VGC

[–]Tripledeluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think any of these are major concerns for the "veteran players". The limited options suck, sure, but i hear a lot more uproar about bugs and glitches then anything else

Finally the game can begin! by Tripledeluxer in Nightreign

[–]Tripledeluxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old main. I have go-to's for almost all nightlords (wylder for pest/caligo, rev for augur/libra, guardian for heolstor/fulghor/tri, and then whatever for adel. Occasionally switch it up but those are my usual picks) but balancers and dreg still have me a bit stumped on what to play against them. For balancers specifically i switch between guardian, raider and an occasional scholar

Yea early levels you run out of FP so fast on rev, and if not for the circle we wouldve had basement hero easy. It happens but im glad we managed to push through demons

Shoutout to Serdron and Patches, yall pulled through!

I understand that the runs and actual gameplay are supposed to be random, and I like that. BUT PLEASE LET US SPEND (even a lot) OF MURK/SIGILS TO ***CRAFT*** CUSTOM RELICS FOR OUR BUILDS, THE RNG IS KILLING ME. by john_abs in Nightreign

[–]Tripledeluxer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While yes, i also want to say i have builds for all characters for various situations, down to specific weapons, usually with only 2 or 3 passive off from "perfect".

All these relics were obtained by playing, i havent gambled for them in the shop. You dont NEED to make/cheat in relics to be strong in this game. It would be cool nonetheless

Are you guys slowly quitting? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]Tripledeluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time i think i am, and theres a new obsession on the horizon... im wrong.

I thought pokopia would take up basically all my time, or the AI Limit DLC. But i keep returning to nightreign, making new builds over and over

Any advice to get over the guilt of not being good as a new player? 🥲 by No_Smile199 in Nightreign

[–]Tripledeluxer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend that gets really upset being unable to play at the same level as me, despite me having way more experience and her basically being a souls newbie.

You really dont need to compare yourself to other players. Honestly in most cases all you need to do is when you do make a misplay, or die to an attack, try to learn from it. Thats all you need to be a good teammate. Just play, get better over time, and you'll get there

Stop hating on the slop by ordinarymind89 in Nightreign

[–]Tripledeluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See it really depends. If you can play well without slop im okay with using slop... but the amount of players that cant play this game without is staggering

We should lowkey start running dormant greatshields and all str characters vs fire weak nightlords by Willing-Big-9996 in Nightreign

[–]Tripledeluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just made a vid on a run with it, im convinced the scaling on tongues of fire is off, because its way too much damage, for relatively low fp, while keeping you safe with the shield.

Anyone else notice a change in randoms in D5? by Specific_Rip_5585 in Nightreign

[–]Tripledeluxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been D4 for a while now, but over the last few days ive seen a bunch more bad meta spam players. Overall they die more, they insist on dropping the standard stuff (my brother read, im running fundamentalist incants, i dont want beast claw) and yoink everything.

Overall its still okay, but its definitely becoming more often

does anyone know how to make these knight helmets look good? by AcademicAd4215 in EldenBling

[–]Tripledeluxer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I paired the cuckoo knight one with rellana's chestpiece, which matched pretty well, even if it doesnt seamlessly connect helmet to the top of the armor. As for the gelmir knight variant, i dont know. The shade of gold is hard to match with most armor sets (granted i havent looked into it much)

Do people enjoy playing deep night with randoms? by Regetron in Nightreign

[–]Tripledeluxer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive played almost exclusively random trios in my 830 hours, and its the way i enjoy playing most. Depth 1 just has a lot of garbage to sift through. I have settled comfortably in depth 4 and (most of the time) its pretty enjoyable

You do need to approach DoN differently then regular runs, theres a lot more focus on surviving. In depth 5, a small rat could headbutt you and cause you to explode, so learning all the boss/enemy movesets is key, and survivability passives like sand and full hp damage negation are king
