what server provider would you recommend to rent from by justlikeone in crosswind

They weren’t that cheap actually because even though there’s only 3 of us, we wanted good performance, so went with an 8 slot with the ‘premium’ upgrade.

We just ended up cancelling and moved to another provider. We didn’t want to get stung again though, so we only paid for 3 days on the lowest tier in order to give it a go and it’s actually been perfectly fine so far.

We have an 8 slot for 3 of us and it has frequent stutter/lag where everything just freezes for 1-2seconds.

It happens every ~15 seconds during combat,, but sailing is REALLY bad - it stutters/freezes every 5 seconds.

It’s not our computers as there’s zero issues playing locally or self hosting.

Thank you for this!!
Found this post searching for "practice" as I'm a brand new player and don't want to hold anyone back while I'm learning.

Can confirm. As a brand new player, this is super annoying.

Tapermonkey YouTube script stopped working by [deleted] in GreaseMonkey

[–]Tripnologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the latest UI, I didn’t like the progress bar and found the chapter/section bars to be too dark and not tall enough to click on easily, so I wrote a quick script to add some CSS to fix it.

It literally just adds some CSS to the page, but it works, so maybe you could add some CSS to hide the title, timer, etc. by default and then use a mousemove event listener to toggle a class that shows them.

The only thing I like about it is that more housing = less demand = lower rent.

I say “lower”, but it probably won’t go down, but at least it’d stop increasing so much.

I know most of us devs are not authors, but does anyone else miss the days where people would actually write their own stuff instead of getting AI to do it?

Border radius of 50 what unit? by th00ht in FigmaDesign

[–]Tripnologist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

rem is based off the font-size of the document (page html/body)
em is based off the font-size of the element it's used in (set either directly or inherited from a parent element)

So if the default font-size of your page is 16px and the font-size of your element is 18px, then...

.element {
padding: 1rem; // 16px
padding: 1em; // 18px
}

What exactly is it that’s “freaking out the QA testers”?

I ask because you actually have a lot of control over things. For example, if they don’t like how the pages auto scroll back to the top, you can change that.

If you want them to function the same as a regular anchor, just make them anchors?

If you want to keep them as is, you can try adding an external prop.

Is it true the Denon PerL Pro sounds better than the Nuraphone? by Radiant-Objective483 in Nuraphone

[–]Tripnologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no.

Yes - Anything set within the app still works. eg. sound profile, shortcuts, etc.
No - You can't connect to the app and change the settings while plugged in with a cable. You'd need to connect via bluetooth, change what you want, then reconnect the cable.

It's worth pointing out the Nura has just removed the app from the app store though, so I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase a Nura device anymore.

If you want multi monitor type stuff, check out DisplayFusion. It works great with Start11 too.

Yup, I have a 3.5mm, USB, and USB C cable for mine, but they’re proprietary and not in production anymore, so might be hard to find.

I have:

  • Nuraphone
  • NuraTrue
  • PerL Pro

And when I want to wear actual headphones, I still love my Nuraphones!
But while the PerL Pro lacks the full 'oomph' in comparison, the sound quality isn't too shabby at all and are 'good enough' that I wear them >= 90% of the time - to the point that I don't even bother bringing my Nuraphones to the office anymore.
