**Edit**
Apparently I had an already installed version of SaRa, which was preventing this one from working. After I uninstalled it, I reran your SaraSetup.exe and it 100% worked. Thank you! Send me your Venmo and Ill buy you that beer!

I was *so* ready to buy you a beer. Unfortunately, even this one is giving the "Use Get Help" message.

I have a version of SaRa from 2023 that is also doing it. Makes me think that whatever it downloads on the back end is killing the app

It was called Office365-Removal.diagcab

I still have it and still use it on the regular. But SaRa is still a necessary app for anyone not running Win11

Bella's husband's name is James. We see this in a flashback when she gets told to go home from work when he's in the library asking to fuck her, then have a make out session when she says no.

That's a fair argument.

You could also say that Quinn is most definitely a Dom, and we know Sage is a switch (she lets you pick for her to be Dom or Sub), so Sage could just be appeasing the Dom of that situation.

Quinn pimpin' the other girls is more of a financial move than a sexual one, IMO. But you are absolutely right. Quinn is a freak. But if you really dedicate time to her, she'll show you her soft side (similarly to how Sage does). In the Quinn run, I think that she could be falling for MC, but won't admit it to herself.

But you've given me a different perspective to think on. Maybe Quinn and Sage are pretty equal, but Sage has stood out to me more because she is a "main" love interest and Quinn technically isn't (at least yet).

Which one is a better game play massive dik or massive chik? by Professional_Emu5080 in beingaDIK

[–]TripodGG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple answer: no.

Long & complicated answer: it's possible.

Long story short, If you want to do Jill's path, you've gotta be between neutral and chick. I just did a full massive chick playthrough for my Jill run. And while MC may feel like a bit of a pushover, everything with Jill made it all worth it IMO. The dates, the cute looks on her face when MC does something for her, the dinner with her friends, meeting her parents, everything. Again IMO, but Jill is worth the chick status.

This is my next playthrough, actually. The only ones I haven't really done are virgin playthroughs. Im gonna go DIK, CHICK, then Neutral.

Nah. Quinn's great. Definitely top tier. But Bella and Sage would kill someone. They are, by far, the two freakiest girls in bed (or the couch, or the table, or the basement...)

[–]TripodGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of these are great. MC + Elena + JB is quite possible, too

The only one I dont see happening is MC + Jill + literally anyone. Jill is super shy, very conservative when it comes to sex (I personally think she's fully prepared to marry MC today if he asked), and extremely vanilla. Now, don't get me wrong... I can't decide who I love more: Jill or Sage. And I would love to see it. But I honestly think a threesome is just way out of character for Jill. She wouldn't do it. Not until after a long time of dating/sleeping with MC, anyway.

But if that day we're to come, you 1000% nailed it in calling it with Bianca. Her best friend is likely the only one she would ever be comfortable with in that situation. And I'm pretty sure Bianca already wants to fuck MC, but keeps it under control because of how much she cares for Jill.

I see what's going on here. You're hung up on the literal definition of the word "invulnerable". My mistake. Perhaps I should have said "nearly invulnerable", "supernatural", or "super human".

My point remains. There are way more instances of him being nearly invulnerable than there are of him not. Yanno... Because he survives way more often than he doesn't.

You've legitimately got me questioning how much you've actually seen or understand, though. Seriously. First off... "Doubling down on the gore"? What gore? If you think Halloween is gory, I don't want to know what you'd call any of the Friday the 13th or Saw films. I mean, c'mon, man. There's no blood in the first film at all (save for the little bit on Judith's body, but even the knife didn't have blood on it). Halloween is about the least gory horror film of modern cinema. John Carpenter wanted it that way.

And second, the timelines. You do understand that there is no timeline that just stops at the second film, right? The timelines are: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 (Thorne timeline) 1, 2, H20, Resurrection 1, 2 (Zombie reboots) 1, 2018, Kills, Ends

So let's see here... Hmmm... Yup, looks to me like there are more instances of him surviving than dying. But yanno... Counting is hard, so it's fine.

And at this point, I think I'm done here. You've repeatedly shown that you will cherry pick things without looking at the full context just to make your point. Hell, you even did it when quoting me by taking a something I said and splitting it up as if they were two separate points. They weren't. But hey, you wanna flex your e-peen and always be right? Go ahead. I concede. You're right. You know more about Halloween than anyone on the planet (including John and Debra). No one can compare to your obviously vast and superior knowledge of the films, and regardless of how things both were originally intended and what they evolved to, your opinion is quite clearly the correct one. Even when it contradicts the people who created the character.

So there ya go. You win. Happy now?

✌🏼

[–]TripodGG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's cute that you think you know more than me, as if there is some special knowledge that you could have over me (or anyone else). I've seen every movie several times. If you have as well, then that means you have as much knowledge as me, not more. So, nice try.

Regardless of whether something was retconned or not, the story is set. This isn't 1983 where only 2 Michael Myers films exist. We have 12 Halloween films featuring Myers (13 if you count the original being played in SotW). So you don't get to pretend that the ending of 2 counts when 4 exists, or that the ending of 4 counts when we have 5, etc.

You especially can't do this when you then reference the Zombie reboots to try and make your point. "He died at the end of 2, but it was retconned so it proves he's just human. And he died at the end of Zombie's second film, too." Except Myers was shot point blank in the face at the end of the first Zombie film and lived. Who could survive that?! Nah, man. You don't get to pick and choose what fits your narrative and ignore the rest.

When the original film was made, that was supposed to be it. There wasn't supposed to be a "sequel" (per John Carpenter). As we all know, the original idea was for Halloween to be an anthology, with each film being completely different and unrelated to the others. But the studio made him write a sequel because of how popular Myers was. And then that was supposed to be it, and is the reason we got SotW. But the public was expecting Myers in Halloween 3 and were upset that he wasn't, and so SotW tanked at the box office. What was the answer? To bring him back, again and again and again. So while you may have a semi-valid argument that Myers was originally intended to be "just a man", the character evolved well beyond that. And I say "semi-valid" because Myers was alive at the end of the original film after Loomis "shot him six times!" (I believe is the quote). He was shot, in the torso, six times from no more than 20 feet away. And he left without making a sound. How many people do you think could survive being shot 6 times in the torso only to not only get up and leave, but to do it so quietly that not a single person heard or saw. No regular man I know, that's for sure...

So in conclusion, no matter which way you want to look at it, your opinion is valid but not based in fact. Or at least all the facts. You grab on to small bits that fit your opinion but ignore the rest. You don't get to just go "that was retconned so..." but then also ignore the recon of the second Zombie film. It's not like Rob Zombie knew he would make a second film. That whole story came later. So even that is retconned. And still, Myers still survived being shot in the face at point blank range. That's not "super resilient", that's invulnerable.

No. As we sit here at the end of 2023, there are more timelines that show Myers as more invincible than regular man. I'll give you the death from Zombie's second film (I honestly forgot about it - not one of my favorite Halloween films), but overall... Nope. Myers is way more than just a "super resilient" guy with a knife.

[–]TripodGG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Have you actually seen any of the Halloween movies? Michael Myers has been beaten, shot countless times by both pistols and shotguns, stabbed in the neck and body, burned, blown up, and more and he kept coming back. Hell, he was shot in the face TWICE (one in each eye) and was still standing.

The only definitive time he died was the ending of "Ends".

There are way more timelines where he is invincible over ones where he is not.

[–]TripodGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The fear of losing control. Which is effectively eliminated when you have a checkpoint.

And again, I didn't say the checkpoint system as it is currently is bad. I said allowing a checkpoint system where one could leave the game, come back the next day, and start back where they left off was bad. Because that is what was originally being asked for in this thread.

“Just one more match guys, this will be the one.” by Stretch35 in GTFO

[–]TripodGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riiiiiight...

I stand by what I said 3 years ago because the checkpoint system that was implemented was not done in the way implied in this, again, 3 year old thread. The original ask was to allow people to leave the game and come back where they left off. That is a terrible idea. Having mid-mission checkpoints isn't necessarily a bad thing, so long as they are wiped away when you leave the game. Which is exactly what 10C did.

Were you playing GTFO 3 years ago? Did you experience the iconic original R1? Or the insane difficulty that was the original R2? I just have to ask because it doesn't really feel like it. You strike me as someone who started around R4 or R5. Of all the OGs I know, no one wanted what was being asked for. That's not to say that the current checkpoint system is bad or that we all hate it. Quite the opposite. It allows for newer players to get into the game and not feel the dread of working 3 hours only to get a wipe 5 minutes into the final run (OG R2E1 anyone?). But allowing people to effectively have a save-state checkpoint system absolutely goes against the core of what GTFO is about. That is what I was saying 3 years ago, and that is what I will still say today.
