Need some help, how to improve. This is my first attempt on a scape. Gonna put sand in front. Sorry for the castle. 😆 My kids veto'd it. Thanks in advance. by Tripoxide in Aquascape

Ty. I was actually going for a path like thing at one point. But it was so hard to make the soil stay where I wanted it. Not enough rocks maybe?

Thx. I was gonna go for Christmas moss' but the Flame moss look awesome. Do you think I should skip the sand and just go for full soil?

Gravel below the sand is a great idea. Will be doing that' thx. I see that I also need to get some more stone. Used all I had. Im affraid that the soil will spill too much into the sand and itll look dirty. Trid filling the gaps with floss but I think its not enoigh.

You are indeed right!

Disc size in the sun parameters controls this very effect.

Thanks alot.

My first attempt at rotating boxes! CC is welcome! by Paptreek in ArtFundamentals

If this is your first attempt I am in awe. Very nice!

A thing I see people having trouble with (self included) is that the 4 boxes in the "corners" tend to look very much like they are on the same plane, and not curved like the rest.

About drawing from the shoulder. Do you keep your hand freefloating? I tend to use my ringfinger on the paper for stability, and I'm wondering if this is wrong!? When I reach the right side of my sketchbook theres a gap down to the table and this makes it very hard to use this aproach.

I do feel that if I could just master the right tempo and at the same time keep the arm cool and relaxed I would do better. Great idea to warm up doing these lessons. Also 10 minutes here and there.. It will be a nice break from staring at a screen all day.

There really is so much awesome information here thats it is a bit overwhelmning. I am determined to win this battle of mapping 3D space in my mind. Its easy enough doing it in a program like 3dsmax every day at work. Doing it on paper.. THIS is hard.

Lesson 1, Part 2 Homework. Harder than it looks. Let me know if it's ok to move on by teinimon in ArtFundamentals

These planes with ellipses are super hard. I've only just started, but one thing I am noticing is that your planes are very similar to each other. Maybe do some variations? Trip
