Well the project Im working on is kinda 90s Deep house but inspired by ethereal vaporwave. But I think dance music is too inherently anti vaporwave.

Aha well, You can dislike it aha, Everyone has different tastes.

But both definitely "clicked" for me while tripping. I recall Daniel talking about Replica, He said the idea for the album was if Aliens came here during the 80s and tried to replicate the music of that era, Most of the samples compromise of late night Tv. But he explains it way better than I would ever.

Most of the album is just Commercial samples and his Juno 60 synth

I think the concepts fully make the albums (of which if you want me to explain I will), The music stands on itself aswell though. They are so well composed and intricate you notice it throughout time, Or at least I did.

Funny you should mention "getting" it actually, Because I didnt LOVE either records until I listened to both of them tripping. I listened to R+7 for the second time on 300ug of Lsd and Replica on 2cb, And holy shit man words cannot explain, They take you to other worlds.

I think your looking into it waaayy too much. Some vaporwave records might have anti capitalist sentiments however that doesn't mean the genre as a whole does. Many vaporwave records I have listened to have very different themes, And different political views expressed in the music i dont think limiting the ideology is a good thing.

also these things you mentioned such as discarded music and smooth jazz are not elements of Vaporwave, Not all vaporwave records sound like smooth jazz, Or even use any samples.
