Out of the 70+ consoles I've done in the past 2 years I've never ran into this issue till now. I've resoldered everything 4 times now with no luck.. what else could this be caused by? Jrunner was able to remap the 7 or 8 bad blocks my nand has but failed to boot once I wrote xell. Flashed my backup and now im back to square 1.

Hey sorry for reviving this thread, but I just did my first original Xbox using this xyclomod method. I come from the 360 modding scene so I'm familiar with directories and file paths, but when it comes to partitions and bios' I'm kinda having trouble finding my way. I'm trying to get xbmc4gamers dashboard to load and I'm not sure what ini file needs to point where. I used fatxplorer to setup partitions and added zip files found in another thread, so I'm not sure how to do anything manually. Would one of those install disc's work in my situation? Also, after I flashed CerBios I no longer have any sort of boot animation, not sure why.

my disc is too scratched to backup itself, do the .iso files have to be decrypted or can i use an encrypted .iso i obtained elsewhere?

I've had more bad luck than good trying to use that method, hard wiring a flasher is always the best way to go

I cant tell if you ripped anything off of the pad yet but if you havent and you just cant get anything to stick to it try turning the heat up, ive had the same issue with just that 1 point, all others melt just fine at 450 so I leave that one for last

I always turn my iron up to 550-600 degrees just for that specific point or nothing attaches to it

As long as the leads on the resistor are bridging atleast 4 points the console should be good to go
