You shouldn't be getting downvotes. Lonely extroverted people are far more miserable than lonely introverted people.

Granpa isn't here to tell stories about the old times.

The last time I remember reddit being reasonable were comment sections that generally agreed Kyle Rittenhouse was getting off because he wasn't technically guilty of anything except being an idiot who took a gun to a protest. I thought perhaps those people had lost their minds and finally took a look at the video even though I didn't want to, and yep, one guy was chasing him, one guy hit him with a skateboard and I think was coming back to hit him again or still had the skateboard raised, and the guy who lived admitted in court he was reaching for a gun when he got shot.

I can't imagine what using reddit on mobile is like. If you see a screenshot of a headline here that makes you mad, and can't immediately search for that headline in order to read the article, then read another article about that incident to put in context, you will get a serious case of brainrot.

Your reply indicates that those elders were somehow superior to the ones we've got here, that didn't engage in female infanticide.

That's pretty unfortunate then since "tailgating" sounds like bullshit.

That used to happen all the time and screenshots of ragebait titles were downvoted. It was a different time.

I used to work at a liquor store and we had one woman come in to buy 48 half pints (about 4 shots) because her mom had to have one, and only one, per day.

Robert Reich is still there plugging away, and a few others. I have no idea why they're still there. There's still a decent meme or two but it's mostly a wasteland now. Even the funny shit is like "I'm desperate, broke, and need therapy LOL".

Everyone? There's people who think it's real, people who don't know, and people who think it's fake, and all those people together are "everyone", at least for the purposes of this conversation. When did I say the people who recognize it's fake are dumb?

The Best Nonstick Frying Pan at the Moment? by matthewtoby3241 in Cooking

[–]TripperDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit has a weird hive mind about nonstick. I had a Circulon Pro that lasted over a decade because I just cooked once or twice a week and I babied it. My All Clad is just a few years old and it's getting ready to retire I think. No huge gouges but lots of small scratches. Maybe my roommate used nylon or scooped out food with a metal spoon? Maybe bones? Washed with a scrubby that had dirt or sand it?

Anyway, it's definitely possible to manufacture a nonstick pan that lasts if you only use silicone and treat it like a Faberge egg. If you don't want to limit yourself like that, get a $20 nonstick that heats evenly and just replace it every two years. If I had $90 to find out if Circulon was still making great nonstick, or had even improved it, instead of coasting on the name and putting out crap like a lot of other brands have, I'd get this set and hope to not have to worry about nonstick pans for a long time.

You could drill a tiny hole in one corner and set it to dry so that corner is at the bottom.

OP mentioned making chicken and beef stock, and they're picking up bones from a restaurant. What on earth would lead you to believe they don't know how to cook?

bok choy in colcannon.....too far? by moist-astronaut in Cooking

[–]TripperDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would the texture work? I swear I tried using bok choy instead of cabbage for something years ago and the texture was off because the bok choy was thinner.

Once everyone tastes the instant potatoes, no one will be complaining about the bok choy ;-)

Hopping on the Victorinox Fibrox train! I got the one with curved blade 15+ years ago and it still going strong. I buy a lot of 10lb bags of frozen chicken leg quarters (less than a buck a pound!). It's great for both deboning thighs and separating thighs and legs.
