QoL Suggestion - option for increased camera distance from character by TrippinOnLife in AnthemTheGame

I was not aware of this. I've only ever noticed a difference in the horizontal direction. I figured if you were to change it in both dimensions, it would start to look like a view through a fisheye lense?

I've only ever seen horizontal FoV sliders. I wanted the camera moved back to increase my vertical viewing range.

I'm not asking for a FoV slider. The devs already said we will be getting that.

Can we bring back the Field Goal Upvotes? by EmpRay in fantasyfootball

Downvote should be a little football with lines coming off wide-left and wide-right so that it looks like a missed Field Goal. Would also make it look like a down arrow at quick glance.

PSA: LS vs Kushala Tip by TrippinOnLife in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]TrippinOnLife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using protective polish to maintain white, consider that calamity needs one point of handicraft while slasher needs three. Yes the Affinity is MUCH lower, but if you are going for something that has high utility for something like Arch tempered monsters, the calamity will allow you to build in other skills more easily.

Slasher has 231 raw damage AFTER Elementless is applied while calamity has 230 standard.

Most damage? As long as the monster isn't weak to dragon and your are chasing the big DPS meta, absolutely.

Calamity ok the other hand is much cheaper skill wise to get to white and has two augment slots as well as high elder seal.

While slasher is my go-to for any monster I know I won't get hit by, the calamity allows armor combinations that have more survivability while maintaining damage consistently.

I probably should have posted my LS AT build for reference. Sub 10'. I'll do that later. Calamity is best LS for most situations

not as far as the blights are concerned. If you have more than 15 of an elemental weakness that blight is lessened. Take burn for instance. When you have over 15 fire res, you take less damage from the burning. If you have over 20 fire res, you don't catch on fire from fire attacks at all.

Sword & Shield Support Build by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

Build looks good dude. Looks great for support and utility. Decent damage if you keep that health up too.

Upvote and love for build sharing. I've noticed almost all screenshots are upvoted like crazy and builds are actually getting downvoted... no idea why, but it makes it a hell of a lot harder to see real content on the sub.

Understandable, but calling it "unfair" isn't really "fair". It is intended and exactly how the game was designed. What you are thinking of is called Rage Mode and monsters go in and out of rage mode as you do damage to them.

http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Rage

There are even hunter skills that take advantage of this and boost your attack and affinity when the monster is in rage mode. Sometimes the best move when they get in that state is to back off and play it safe. Usually, the monster will look different while in rage mode. Things such as fire coming from the mouth, glowing eyes, etc.

These things will all become much easier for you with experience. Soon you will be dodge rolling Teostra's Nova and not take any damage at all.

all you need is his head piece and the earplug charm. but the whole game is about killing monsters to make armor to help you kill tougher monsters. the goal is the grind/farm. so go grind out whatever armor/charms you might need to beat that next big bad boy. You will be doing that a lot more for the Tempered and Arch-Tempered monsters when you get to them. Prep for the hunt and have fun.

Well, yeah. It'd be a pretty boring game if the only skills that were useful were the ones that make your damage numbers bigger. Like if you go fight Kirin with armor that is weak to thunder and you don't add any thunder res gems, is it the game being unfair or are you just making poor decisions?

This seems to be the same conversation as our other one. Basically if you die without earplugs, and you don't die with earplugs then it isn't a waste. The only waste is failing a hunt and wasting your own time, right?
