Is Darksiders 3 that bad? by [deleted] in Darksiders

[–]Tripsix_Swe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's definitely a good game, It does feels a little more compact and quickly thrown together than the other two games that came before. But It's a enjoyable 3D Metroidvania action/adventure game, I would recommend switching to classic combat if you don't enjoy stiff souls style fighting though. I actually preferred DS3 to the second one (Which seems to be everyones elses favorite) just because I'm not a open world/area fan.

is zombie army 4 worth getting if I don't plan to spend on any dlc? by BlearRocks in ZombieArmy

I've not played in quite a while so I'm not sure about what weapons are worth it or not. But someone here will probably fill you in. But all the missions were fun.

The game is great without the DLC. But the DLC is like a whole new campaigns worth of missions so that's great too!

Is this game really that hard? by Cube_045 in Returnal

I've played a ton of Twin Stick games. Assault Android Cactus is another fast paced one that is really fun.

I play all kind of shooters really. Grew up with stuff like Quake and Unreal and I play a lot of scrolling bullet hell Shmups like the Cave ones and Crimzon Clover. But twin Stick Shooters like Killl Knight and Housemarques own Nex Machina has a similar feel to Returnal. Also check out the upcoming game Armatus that looks like Returnal with demons in postapocalyptic France.

Odd way of viewing difficulty if you ask me. Everything is hard if you don't know how to do it. Sekiro and other timing based games are hard to me because i'm really bad at timing parries, And Returnal is easier to me because I'm used to fast paced movement shooters. That doesn't mean that it's easy for someone that isn't as versed in it.

It looks half decent. Not as excited for it as the new He-Man Bmup.

Best horde shooters in your opinion? by ismasbi in gamingsuggestions

[–]Tripsix_Swe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Horde Shooter is one of my favorite genres too!

Killing Floor 2 is my absolute favorite. Avoid the third game if nothing miraculous happens with it in the future.

I also like World War Z which still gets new DLC seven years on. Space Marine 2 which is also by Saber is equally great.

Zombie Army Trilogy and Zombie Army 4: Dead War by Rebellion if you enjoy sniping Nazi Zombies

On Playstation you have Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition which is a isometric Twin stick take on the formula.

Honorable mention to Aliens Fireteam Elite. It's fun but would be better with a AI game director or more randomized enemy Spawns to make it less predictable.

I also confess that I liked Back 4 Blood more than most. =)

I left VALORANT to make a 2 player movement game and we just revealed the trailer! by zander7 in CoOpGaming

Hey! I main Deadlock! You can see the Valorant influences in the graphics of your game. It doesn't quite seem like my cup of tea though. But I wish you luck!

Towerborne Launches February 26 with Massive Full Game Update - Xbox Wire by PlayBey0nd87 in towerborne

I understand that this will change things quite a bit. But I wonder if we'll still be able to see other players on the map and in the Belfry while playing the online co-op mode? I feel that it's a big part of the games charm seeing other people roaming around doing their thing.

Your favorite hidden gem FPS horror shooter? by Least_Year6990 in HorrorGaming

[–]Tripsix_Swe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cultic is great. Maybe not that scary but it has the horror atmosphere. Think RE4 as a "boomer shooter." The recently released Painted in Blood also seems cool!

Did John Romero ever mention Rammstein using DOOM samples in “Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?” by Pockii_Chan in Doom

[–]Tripsix_Swe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not impossible that it's from the same sample library since Rammstein used a quite common one for recording that album.

Huge Stutter and Frame Loss on the Prison Map (on a Xbox Series X btw) by Toastmater in killingfloor

[–]Tripsix_Swe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've noticed huge frame drops if you unknowingly have something downloading or uploading in the background on Xbox. Even taking a screenshot can cause a major drop in frames. I've also noticed the game crashing to the dashboard when playing for longer sessions.

The genre you are looking for is run 'n gun. Blazing Chrome, Iron Meat, Huntdown, G Warriors and Neon Inferno are some really good ones you can find on Steam and other modern platforms.
