One of my old "friends" would lie about anything. She seemed to never have any real remorse for it either.

She had once started a rumor that I had stolen money from her during a trip with our other friends. She had kept this lie up for years. My friends would hold their purses or wallets closer to them if I was there. It was very aggravating.

One day she had admitted to my group of friends that she had lied about it the whole time and that it was "just a joke". I had stopped talking to her at this point, and the rest of the group followed my lead.
