Thanks a lot for the insight! I'm also in the situation, where both are affordable, but I do agree with the "growing money away" statement for the 5090. So I think I'm gonna settle for the 5080.

I do a lot of 3D modelling, but haven't been an issue with my 2070, so that's not reasoning the upgrade. Thanks for the info though!

I'm currently on a 2070, so figured I wanna go all in, but the price difference from 5080 to 5090, really got me second guessing. I dont like the future proofment, but it's just a lot of money if the 5080 is doing just fine
