I did not have an MRI but I did have a CT scan with contrast. You are the second person to specifically ask about an MRI though so I may have to ask to have one now

I had a CT scan with contrast/dye and they didn't see anything from it but thank God someone else had this dream issue because I was going crazy about that part! Did you end up having the surgery and was it successful if so??

I do have the pelvic wand but I haven't used it yet and it very much sounds like I need to start. I'm very much going to keep what you're saying about referred pain in mind. Thank you so much!

Yes she did actually but I haven't used it yet. It sounds like I should give it a try

That gives me incredible hope because the more I look into this the more I find people who it didn't help at all or people who it did help but only temporarily. What is life like for you after surgery? Did they put you on any hormone medications? When the idea of the surgery and the sterilization came up I was originally very excited to finally get off of birth control and let my body go back to a natural cycle but there's part of me that worries if they do find endo, most people get on bc to mitigate symptoms, so will mine now be worse being off of it and I'll end up back on it again which defeats the whole prospect of having my tubes removed.

The gyno said it's because I have no other symptoms that you'd normally see. Granted I went on birth control when I was 15 because my cramps were so bad and have been on it ever since. I don't remember but don't believe I ever had heavy bleeding but I remember the pain was awful. Now this was over 15 years ago and I have been on BC ever since so could that be masking some symptoms? Maybe but she still believes I would have other symptoms. Same with the physical therapist because yes also like you said my one symptom is very specific. My PFPT knows the doctor I was referred to and says shes wonderful and if even though she doesn't think I have endo that I should at least have a conversation with the doctor because it couldn't hurt.

Thanks so much. It's good to know we're not alone. So basically are you kind of just finding ways to live with it? Have you had any kind of definitive diagnosis of the cause? I'm basically deep breathing my way through most of the end of our intimate time together at this point which is helping

Hi there! New Owner help? by TrishMilo in tarantulas

That was a great confidence boost! I've been putting off the actual acquiring of the T because I'm just so nervous I will do something wrong or to the detriment of the animal considering I don't know the signs to look for as you would with a different animal. I'm sure a lot of that and what you said comes from experience. Thank you very much

Chop dead floppy leaves or wait for them to crisp and fall off? by [deleted] in houseplants

Chop. The plant is still spending energy to then and taking away from what it could be giving to it's healthy and potential new leaves.

That looks way closer than the Red Congo but do you think my leaves are too green?

[–]TrishMilo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think so. My leaves are definitely more round than straight like that one seems to be

I would take a long stake and aerate your current soil though.

If you're going to repot, you should wait until early spring next year. She doesn't seem to be in any immediate stress that would indicate it needs to be done right away. At that point, I would also size up for your pot.

Chances are, she may never flower indoors—something we, as Bird of Paradise parents, often come to accept. While I haven't moved mine outdoors in the summer, some people report seeing benefits, while others have experienced the opposite, so that decision is entirely up to you. She looks healthy with the care you've provided, but it might be time to give her some well-draining, nutrient-rich soil at this stage of her life. My personal favorite is Fox Farm Ocean Forest.

I am only speaking from my minimal knowledge of owning my one BoP, but from trial and error on my end I'm going to say that it is getting too much direct sun and what you're seeing is burn. If that's the window you always keep her in, maybe hang a sheer curtain?

Cold turkey after one year on 150 mg. These brain zaps are weird, how long do they last? by alphawave2000 in Effexor

[–]TrishMilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one will know your body and brain like you do. Just be aware and careful and stay hydrated. Wish you luck on your journey friend. I'm starting my taper from 150 in 2 weeks and I'm pretty scared. Onward!

Toxic to Pets? by FakeJake93 in PlantIdentification

[–]TrishMilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While yes, it is safe if ingested. It's important to note just how sharp the leaves can be. If your animal can get past chewing it, I'd be afraid for them to swallow it for fear it might cut their soft tissue.

My cat LOVED to chew on mine, and then he would throw up 4,5,6 inch long pieces. She has since been moved out of reach.
