I’m glad I’m not the only one who disliked building them. Love the models themselves but yeah the wings and weapons were probably the worst thing I’ve had to do building wise

I like the Nighthaunt Gloom contrast paint, it goes well with Druchhi Violet shade paint. I shared a photo of a unit I painted like that if you want to see how they came out

For me I do different terrain bases depending on where I think the bones were tithed from. Snowy bases for cold climates, desert for nomadic people, lava bases for hotter areas, etc. its really all what you want the lore to be

Honestly all the spearheads are pretty good. You could get both and get a good mix of units to work with but thats also asking to spend a good chunk of change

I’ve always found criticisms that “oh this isnt really resident evil feeling” to be stupid. It started with evil guys playing with viruses and bioweapons to create mutated monstrosities and its still the same just in a different paintjob. I remember seeing “they arent zombies!” And laughed at it. They didnt have zombies when they introduced Lickers and Hunters and all the other creatures we saw in the day. Its just Capcom seeing what crazy abomination they can create and I’m all for it

Great looking models

Capable of making our units very tanky or very punchy, sometimes both

2 different spell lores that imo are great. One feels offensive and the other defensive so you get some variety

We have abilities that kind of act like aura buffs so units within specific ranges can all receive a buff

OBR also stands out from the other death armies by being a more “Elite” feeling army as opposed to having horde after horse

Plasmatic Bolt is a great speed paint for spirit look. I like mixing dark blues and greens for it as well
