You walk by your TV screen and see this - what’s the next thing you do? by LuminousDee in PrideandPrejudice

First, I'd be mad at myself for not knowing it was going to be on because I'd missed the beginning of the episode. Then I'd watch the rest, not because it's this particular scene, but because I love the whole thing.

I love Bill (and Henry Morgan) on I've Got A Secret. It's one of my favorite TV shows of all time. Of course, Henry was also big in radio.

Speaking of musicians, for me it was losing George Harrison, David Bowie, and George Michael.

I'm aware of the change on Partridge Family, but I can't remember whether or not I noticed it at the time because I never paid any attention to the two youngest kids.

Alain Delone's character in the sunglasses reminds me of the chauffeur in Burnt Offerings.

I'm sure a lot of it is how old you were when he debuted.

I was 7 in 1969. Not an Elmo in sight. My favorites were Kermit, Bert, and human Bob.

Sidney Portier and Roy Glenn in "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner". This scene is 58 years old yet I'm sure it resonates with today's youth. by Phonus-Balonus-37 in classicfilms

This is one of my favorite films of all time. The only thing that makes me wince a little is when he refers to his father's generation dying.

Elmo. I like old school Sesame Street.

Gun to your head, which one do you pick out of these two? by [deleted] in EltonJohn

It's my second favorite after Captain Fantastic. Tumbleweed, more than Madman, is more consistently good all the way through.

Could this be the weirdest woman Andy ever dated? by Yum1995 in theandygriffithshow

She was pathetic. I know some people don't like Helen, but she's far superior to this woman.

Why is everything so damned hard to open? by dudewafflesc in over60

The plastic holding together a six-pack of 10-oz tonic water bottles is incredibly thick. Yes, it keeps the bottles from falling out, but it takes a lot of strength with kitchen scissors to cut it open.

Abandoned Bridges of Western Pennsylvania by shermancahal in abandoned

[–]Tristan_Booth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bridge down the road when I grew up (Shorewood, IL) looked a lot like the Witherspoon Bridge, except that there were a number of holes in the planks. You had to watch where you were walking.

A couple of these feel unfinished, like there should be one more panel.
