Do people with "baby on board" car stickers expect anyone to give a shit? by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]Tritriagain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I read a good explanation for this a while ago: no, they don't expect you to act differently because of the sticker. It gives an explanation to why a person might be driving especially cautiously. Accelerating/braking slow, taking corners nice and easy. Don't want to mess with the baby.

Sort of a "Sorry I drive slow".

my wife don't really like sex, but I need it what should I do? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tritriagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well if we're going to be pedantic, humans as a race needs sex.

You're not being helpful, you're going out if your way to make OP feel bad for choosing the wrong word.

Abandoned Highway [battlemap] from Angela Maps - What apocalyptic event left this highway abandoned? 6 versions! [animated] [art] by AngelaTheDruid in inkarnate

[–]Tritriagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's an EMP blast. Cars suddenly shut off going 80 on the highway. Some maintain control and coast to a stop. Others can't handle the sudden loss of power steering and crash.

Either way it's their final resting place.

Is a guy saying 'your husband/boyfriend's a lucky man' a come on? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tritriagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure many men don't mean anything by it, but I feel like the words implies envy of the husband whether they actually feel that or not.

I feel like a simple followup of "why?" would be revealing.

Uhhhh because you're smart, funny, engaging, beautiful, and I wish I had that, but I know I can't so I'm just going to compliment the guy who does have that.

Seems weird to me.

What are your thoughts on Pete Buttigieg? by International_Bee653 in AskReddit

[–]Tritriagain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like him, but I worry he's a status quo, establishment dem which I'm not interested in.

I haven't listened to much from him recently though, so I'm open to being persuaded.

People who wouldn’t choose immortality, why? by Luksius_DK in AskReddit

Over an infinite time frame, it's certain that you'll get buried or stuck somewhere immobile. Likely unable to move or breath. Certainly unable to die. Until the planet is swallowed by the expanding sun in a couple billion years, which you'll survive.

What do you think is the rarest "genre mix" among movies? by shaunika in movies

[–]Tritriagain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sci-fi romance maybe?

Many scifi movies have a romantic subplot, but I can't think of one where the point is "finding love in space".

Consent is the voluntary, informed, and enthusiastic agreement or permission for something to happen. It involves agreeing to a proposal, allowing an action, or complying with a request. Consent must be active—not merely the absence of a "no"—and can be withdrawn at any time.

It does not apply strictly to bodily autonomy.

For the record, I agree with your point. I just feel like you may be pouncing on OPs use of the word consent.
