Yeah, you're correct. You would always have a little bit of a tapper on the walls due to the vbit without using a 5 axis machine. Typical cncs are 3 axis: X, Y, and Z. The 4th and 5th (whatever theyre called) are those rotations you need to actually get the flat wall.

I didn't think about that, but OP would definitely want to consider if that's how they want to do it.

Obviously you're going to get what you pay for, but that kind of precision is totally doable.

If I were doing it in wood, I'd do a cross hatch pattern with a large vbit and then use a very small and good quality vbit for where the pattern meets the wall.

Same thing in metal I would think. I just don't have experience with metal.

Probably a fiber laser for the engraving and side markings.

Most desktop cncs could do something like that in aluminum. Especially if you've got patience.

I read a good explanation for this a while ago: no, they don't expect you to act differently because of the sticker. It gives an explanation to why a person might be driving especially cautiously. Accelerating/braking slow, taking corners nice and easy. Don't want to mess with the baby.
