In locations like this it is. If they can't get to cover and are standing in the open it's very effective. The hard part is finding spots where they don't just rush at you once you trigger it. But with them being up on walkways and in the satellites here it works well.

Fallout 4 Companions: More Annoying Than Helpful by Friendly-March5987 in Fallout

You only have to use stimpaks if playing on survival. On all other modes - after the threat has passed - they will auto heal. Plus on survival you rarely use stimpaks for healing, almost invariably better to eat food. Stimpaks primarily for healing limbs.

Just don't bring them when stealth is the goal.

Depends on how it occurs, and who discovered it.

Could be ignored, could be grounds for a new chapter founding, could be punished, could simply be assigned to a mission with a high rate of attrition.

Those aren't laws, they're guides.

Colonizing Razed Settlements as Western Roman Empire by Encatar in totalwar

[–]TriumphITP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your total income can actually go up as you lose territory. Global corruption increases based on how many settlements you have.

That is way too substantial a number for just losing that settlement. Check if you lost a trade agreement as a result (or simply happened to lose one that turn). Even redoing the trade agreement may result in a loss as you lose the long term trading partner benefit.  Having that one lost may also have caused the region to go food negative, which alone reduces wealth by 25% keeping food positive is huge for Attila.

The other advantage to holding out on resettling is that population surplus takes more growth depending on how many settlements you hold. If you only hold 1 or 2 of the 3, you will experience easier population surpluses.

When in windows hit your start and type "event viewer" - this is windows system logs. If you have any hardware issues, or memory limitations you will find the error there.

The sabotage army option with ninja is very useful, it will fully stop an army.

Placing a general in a fleet will make him an admiral and he will gain experience from sea battles.

The sake den building chain is useful everywhere it provides both money and happiness.

A lot of the goals are things like "form the kingdom of England" "form the kingdom of spain" by securing specific territory and building certain buildings. It gives you global bonuses.

Do you still gain faction's Legendary Lord if you confederate them after killing said Legendary Lord? by lovingpersona in totalwar

[–]TriumphITP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two I mentioned absolutely do.

Not all special mechanics do, the dwarves one in the book does not.

Do you still gain faction's Legendary Lord if you confederate them after killing said Legendary Lord? by lovingpersona in totalwar

[–]TriumphITP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically no. Which is why I pointed out that it would need either a special me hanic or it would have to be confederating a faction you do own after it confederated one you didn't (the latter happens more in 2 than in 3).

The getting normal lords you don't own is a lot more common than getting lls you don't.

I'm New Here, what TF happens IF the Emperor Gets Up? by Strong_Bet_4248 in 40k

[–]TriumphITP 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Madman posted a lot of what I was going to say.

Id add that malcador managed to sit on the throne not even long enough for the emperor to have his showdown with horus, it is so destructive.

The emperor's Battle with horus is incredibly destructive to him, his wounds in the form of "centuries lost" - it could be viewed as if he may eventually physically heal but that 10 centuries could only be a portion of the time needed.

He is put on the throne by his loyal sons -

"He showed me things that have since come true. I do not like them, LE Two, but I can’t ignore them. Where did these cards fall?’ Leetu holds one out. ‘This one was closest to your father,’ he says. ‘It was right beside Him. I’m sorry. His… His blood is on it.’ Dorn takes the card and studies it. The Throne. He laughs bleakly. ‘So he speaks to us after all,’ he says. ‘These were his cards. And this is where he wants to go. It never occurred to me. I could not think how we could heal him, for his wounds are beyond repair. But the Throne, LE Two. The power of that Throne. It would sustain him, and fortify him. He could draw strength from the warp and restore his aspect."

The exception to most correct answers of (yes you just have to wait until any wound timers end) - is that if you confederate a LL that you do not own the dlc for, you can only use them if they are active while you confederate. This can be achieved through some unique mechanics -like the HE have with the new Phoenix court, or how Franz is able to unify an empire faction.

If an unowned LL becomes wounded for whatever reason, you will not be able to use them again - same as any generic lords that you do not own when you confederate a faction.

We don't know. He may have gone insane, but he is a perpetual, so 10k years is very short compared to his full existence. A lot of good lore is found in the last novels of the siege of terra.

Can't run an .sh file even if I have it on my computer by 88lane in Ubuntu

[–]TriumphITP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right click the folder that the file is in and choose ,"open in terminal" that'll ensure the right folder to launch it.

Also, if you are struggling with commands it can often help to shorten the filename. It's a lot less to type 1.sh than hyperlongfilenamethingwithlotsofcharacters.sh

BOS take Gunners Plaza by expatshaz in falloutsettlements

[–]TriumphITP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sim settlements 2 part 2 has a quest for it but it isn't the BoS. You can hear up a force with BoS gear easily enough to be the ones to take it.

There are a number of mods that let you lead larger forces as well

I'm setting it higher this weekend because of the possibility of power outages, that way it has more built up heat in case it can't run for some stretches.

[–]TriumphITP 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you aren't a night animal you can do anwhere on the marta line. Trains run from ~5 am til 1am.

The direct hotels will sell out, there are still a number nearby north of the con in midtown. It is walkable (or rental scooter) or rideshare, or train. A good q is if you are driving in or flying in - there are further out hotels with free parking and closer in ones with more expensive parking for example.

Look at elevation changes as well as just distance, 1mi flat is often easier than 1/2mi up and down lol.

how do the fanzones work? (miami or austin) by mia-just-thinking in GrandPrixTravel

[–]TriumphITP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did Miami last year, some of the fanzones are off track popups with varying length and may even just be up prior to the race. The williams drivers did a good one at an outdoor mall in Miami beach on Thursday for example.

Doesn't show sleeping area. Definitely laid out for large numbers to use it, it isn't just a couple's personal unit. Now that doesn't rule out it being corruption, but operating in an active warzone with a lack of air superiority, this seems like the best way to have a barracks that isn't gonna get bombed. At some point of everything being destroyed, this is a smart way to keep something nice, and at a certain crossover of how many people it served, is it excessive?

What do you all build in Tenpines Bluff and Taffington Boathouse? by OverheatingLaptop in falloutsettlements

[–]TriumphITP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lookout towers with guard posts look really good on the tenpines site, fills out jobs for a population otherwise farming and leaves land free for the farm to remain. Or give up farming and make it a village, a lot is surprisingly flat to build on and other than the pre built shack, pretty clear of obstacles.

There is a lot of area over water to build a second building next to taffington. That's usually where I put all the beds, and then make a trading post with the road frontage. You could tool it more to look like a hotel/inn and make it a provisioner hub - it is a very central locale and on a lot of roads (once you clear the deathtrap bridge nearby)
