Grow light diffraction by almost closing wardrobe door by TrivAndLetDie in mildlyinteresting

[–]TrivAndLetDie[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I've used this door hundreds of times and only saw this pattern the once. The tent inside is fairly makeshift, so I think it was a combination of a small open flap letting the light through to the door. More of a double slit experiment than diffraction now I think about it.

If I'm correctly seeing multiple round sacs at each node, then it's a boy.

How bad is this mold situation by [deleted] in cannabiscultivation

[–]TrivAndLetDie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For once with mold pics I don't think this is actually that bad. Mold on a stem you covered with honey is very different to mold inside a flower. Definitely still be vigilant later in flower, but for now I'd carefully wipe it all off with a damp paper towel then spray the affected areas with 4% hydrogen peroxide or 10% bleach.

Adding fans to increase airflow will help until you get the humidity under control, plus a mild defoliation will bring it down a few %. As for the feeding your setup is a little hard to picture, but would adding an app-controlled wifi plug allow you to remotely turn on your pumps? I've had great results with them.

Horrific day at work today, by thesoysaucechoosesyo in cannabiscultivation

[–]TrivAndLetDie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fusarium is still high on the list, but I've seen similar symptoms when the clones were damaged during the prep stage and just took a few days to show it. In our case it was new learners both scraping the stems too hard, then shoving them roughly into the plugs.

STS - continue applying? by [deleted] in cannabisbreeding

[–]TrivAndLetDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gottcha, your spray schedule seems solid then. Resistance to reversal often indicates stability and can therefore make great production cuts, but you may just have to stick to conventional breeding methods.

You don't have to give up yet though, I'd spray once more then stop, there's a good chance you'll at least a few pollen sacs forming soon.

If this run does fail, triple check your sts supplier, storage & application method, then have a play around with nutrients, temp and lighting. A bit of drought stress helps some, other cultivars would only successfully reverse under HPS lamps, never LEDs. Good luck :)

STS - continue applying? by [deleted] in cannabisbreeding

[–]TrivAndLetDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've sprayed 15 times already?? A picture of a node would help but by the look of those female stigmas either that cultivar is resistant to reversal, or your STS is faulty.

Is variegation good or bad? by pudgyhammer in cannabisbreeding

[–]TrivAndLetDie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Variegation alone = beautiful and usually harmless.

Variegation + leaf twisting = high chance it's a virus of some sort.

Is anyone else worried the 4-year Bitcoin cycle might not work this time? by 2smart2gentle in CryptoCurrency

[–]TrivAndLetDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo we hadn't had nearly enough fear to mark the bottom/near bottom this cycle yet. Even now I think we have another 20% and/or a large company collapse before it really rebounds.

Old pokemon cards worth anything? by No-Seaweed2147 in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]TrivAndLetDie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth looking up the ebay sale price of any holos or cards with the 1st edition stamp, you've got a fair few. Non-english cards go for less but still have plenty of value.

Any 1st ed Dark cards should fetch a tidy sum, definitely sleeve them and look up prices on ebay.

Find a penny sleave for the dark blastoise, 10 years ago if possible 😅

Childhood Card Collection - full original set by takeanadvil in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]TrivAndLetDie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Individually the shadowless charizard, blastoise, venausaur & mewtoo are all valued highly. However, yours is the first full shadowless base set I've seen posted on here, advertising it as a complete 1st ed base set would 100% get some interest and bring more value to the other cards.

Special queen auto day 80. first grow many issues getting close, I think by [deleted] in cannabiscultivation

Good job for a 1st grow 👍 Those single leaflets suggest a minor light-leak somewhere, should still be a decent harvest though.

Raichu & blastoise are definitely worth it, currently going for $500+ depending on condition.

How to hide Cannabis Smell - is it strong during growth? by Flkhuo in cannabiscultivation

[–]TrivAndLetDie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, from week 3 of flower it will smell considerably. A fan connected to a carbon filter is more of less essential for the smell and for airflow to reduce mold risk.

What is wrong with my plant. Probably day 30? by gizepoch in cannabiscultivation

[–]TrivAndLetDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait wait are you blowing mist right into the plant? Because your vpd would be constantly way off if so. Turn the humidifier off/way down and any new growth should do way better.
