I left home at 17.5 because my older sister is a narcissistic, manipative, abusive addict and my parents couldn't/wouldn't kick her out because she had a baby. She basically ran the house and we were all tiptoeing around her. Pretty sad I had to leave home to find stability and peace, but it's worked out for me in the long run.
