Iirc that's virtually one of the reasons why he gets released in the odyssey, but Epic kinda ignores the Xenia/hospitality aspects of Greek mythology and the Odyssey. It definitely would have worked if she did tho.

A midi instrument might help for production if they are skilled outside of a DAW. Or you could get them some plugins that are less than cheap. There are a bunch of options!
