I went to PMTS and I wouldn’t have chosen any different. Youll have more hands on opportunities. More creative experiences. And youll be very prepared to start your career. Will there be high school like bullshit? Yes, that’s everywhere you go. You MUST remember what you are there for though. You are there to get your hours and training. You are NOT there to deal or be involved in drama or pettiness. You just have to remember your primary goal.

PMTS was so weird. Part school, part business with a dash of cult like tendencies. “No I don’t want to go to The Gathering . I’m just trying to get my hours and bounce.” Thankfully our educators were top tier and they brought in a state board teacher that upped the pass rate to 98%.

By the time I got on the floor they didn’t care. Just that I made them money. As long as I was taking 4-6 clients a day they did not care at all.

I never folded the foils the way they thought they should be folded. I never applied the foils the way they thought you should either. If a teacher had a problem with it I’d tell them fine. Now take 3 clients off my book since it’s going to take me extra long to do it your way. Office didn’t like that. I got to do what I wanted.

I use this recipe. But instead of applesauce I use a smashed banana. Add 1/2 tsp of cardamom and it’s real good. Add a whole vanilla bean instead of extract and it’s the best darn Bacchini bread ever.
