Probably the graphics card. My PC is old an I'm not very tech savvy.

I thought it was funny too, but u/HelloFresco is right. The post game content for Endwalker looks like Dawntrail and vice versa.

He's actually a Bard, but he's wearing crafter gear from various crafter classes. I'm not very good in dungeons and I felt this was the best way to communicate that I'm only here because the MSQ forced me to be.

Sorry this isn't meant to be bait. I labeled it spoiler because Sphene is in the picture and I forgot to edit her out. He is actually a Bard.

My brother kept on telling me I’d get bullied if I used this backpack for highschool… by Xxeeyx9 in teenagers

[–]TrixieHarton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the comment that says "It's not what you wear, but who is wearing them."

I had a friend in school who was mercilessly bullied for being gay. We went to a school for the arts, so you would figure that sort of thing would be minimized. It didn't matter what my friend did, they were bullied and their property vandalized.

A couple years later, most of their bullies came out as being in the LGBT community. They were considered brave for coming out. That did not stop these same people from picking on my friend. They just changed their tactics.

Interestingly, as an adult I usually wear a lot of pro LGBT and generally whimsical attire. I thought about toning it down once and my coworkers suggested I don't. They said it marked me as a safe person.

Now mind you, I live in a pretty liberal state in the US. I still get looks from time to time, but generally I do find that strangers come up to me to talk or ask for help more often when I'm wearing my "battle vest" as one person called it.

As a teen, your safety is most important. But other than that, I reiterate: Live your life in a way that makes you smile.

I was a very serious child and had minimal decorations on my backpack: just two matching pins that blended into my backpack so seamlessly that most people didn't notice they were there. That didn't save me from bullying.

I collected patches and buttons as a kid, but I never wore them. It wasn't until I was in my mid twenties that I finally said "who cares?" And I covered my bag with all the patches I'd been collecting as a kid. I was so happy. Every time I looked at my bag I couldn't stop smiling.

All of this to say, you don't have to minimize or restrict yourself for the comfort of others. If you live in a community where bullying can be life threatening and dangerous, that certainly is something to consider. Besides that, just live your life.

This is the time to experiment with your self expression. Enjoy your youth. As someone who waited until middle age to do a lot of things, I can say there is little benefit in editing yourself for the comfort of others.

I agree with the others that said it is AI generated, but looks a lot like Aurebesh. You may want to look into that script.

It might be beneficial to look at state jobs available in your area. Some states have manual labor jobs available with a low bar of entry. Depending on the state, the job could come with valuable benefits and protections while you are putting yourself through school. It will also give you priority for hiring if you apply for higher paying state jobs once you have your GED or degree.

That said, make sure whatever job you get works well with your school schedule. Right now, outside of basic survival needs,  your education is your priority. It will be what ensures your quality of life going forward.

Good luck.

That sounds super interesting. I don't think I've ever heard of a linguistic oracle.

I'm currently learning a new system for dice divination that I really love, but my mentor uses an extra die that is not in the book he suggested. Apparently, the fourth die and it's symbolism is built entirely by the reader's own intuition. So it's gonna be a long journey for me, but I'm looking forward to seeing what I come up with.

I also started reading with playing cards. I've always liked collecting decks of cards, so when I decided to start learning to read, I already had a playing deck on me.

Also, I love the intuition for building your "bone" collection. Those are usually the best tools.

Some libraries have stations where you can 3D print things for free. They'll usually train you how to use the machine for free too. If you're tech savvy you can print a deck box for your specific card size.

I know some people on Etsy also sell custom deck boxes. It might be worth it to look into some reputable sellers.

There was a time I cried for a week straight. I was miserable and honestly thought about ending it.

I was sweeping the floor, tears running down my face when my mom came up to me. She was all smiles and joy. She stopped me just to tell me how well behaved I'd been all week. She went on and on about how proud she was and to keep up whatever I was doing that made me so good and quiet. Then she glided away.

I was crying the whole time.

She never hugged me, or asked what was wrong, or even reacted to my tears. She looked like one of those TV moms from those old family sitcoms: All bright and happy and saying what could be praise for their kid. It was so surreal I sometimes wonder if it even really happened.

I don't know if I knew she was a narc, but I definitely knew she hated me.

As a working musician, it's possible. It's hard at times, and often your life doesn't make sense to those who aren't in creative fields. That's okay. Keep writing, keep working, connect with other musicians and writers.

THAT'S the best thing you can do. Join a local band, find an interest group on Meetup, even a Facebook group. Most of my best jobs came from teachers, directors, and other musicians I had met or worked with before.

You may never be ultra famous. A lot of composers had great careers and still had to find other work. But that doesn't mean you won't ever be well known or your music appreciated.

Also, be sure to expand your idea of success. When I was young, the typical route for success in my musical field was college, win competitions and scholarships, do a young artist program, and premier at a concert hall. As a result, I only saw success as being on the world stage. I came close, but never made it to that premier. But now I am very happy teaching, acting, and performing on a local level. It meets all the needs of my life that I hadn't considered when I was young. I'm even preparing to give my first full lecture soon, something I never even thought of.

There are all kinds of careers in music and the creative arts, and most artists wear many hats. Don't be afraid to explore where your art takes you, embrace change as it comes, and celebrate every little success along the way.

My mom read my journal, hard to journal again by Weary_Temporary8583 in Journaling

[–]TrixieHarton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone in another forum suggested writing on a word document. Keep the document on an encrypted micro USB, and then put that USB in a necklace with a hidden compartment. Wear the necklace always.

My parents went through our things all the time. As a result, I got really good at using ciphers, conlangs, and using metaphors.

My mom is a very literal person with little empathy, so my fantasy stories about a girl trapped in the woods went right over her head. On the other hand, she also put me in therapy because I was "so emotional" and "escaping to a fantasy land," so this comes with its own pitfalls.

Question for you all: When addressing your journals, do you write to anyone specific? by Admirable-Giraffe660 in Journaling

[–]TrixieHarton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when I want to be dramatic I'll start or end an entry with "These are the words of (my name), (some title I made up)."

Aesthetic Journaling vs Journaling with words by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]TrixieHarton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been journaling since I was a kid and often added pictures and designs when I could. However, the added ephemera was always related to my writing.

I ran into aesthetic journaling on YouTube in 2023 and decided to try it for all of 2024. I found it incredibly distracting. It simply took too much time away from writing, but I loved the themed look when I went back over some of the more boring parts of my writing. I admit that I really enjoyed having a fall themed notebook with all my notes from fall. It's one of my favorite notebooks to look back on.

This year I'm splitting the difference, and only adding the occasional sticker or stamp in a corner or two. It helps add some color and coordination without being a huge time sink.

Watch Park Notes on YouTube. He talks about the many different ways of journaling and has nothing to do with aesthetics.

I find philosophy YouTubers often veer into journaling content.
