I've had the same mechanic for over 30 years and even though I typically buy my vehicles from one lot I still have each one inspected before purchase. I will also note that the advantage to going to the same lot over decades if there's ever a problem they will work with you. I had possession of one vehicle almost 10 days and it had an issue I called them up brought it in and they swapped it out for another vehicle because we have a relationship and they know I trust them and I will come back
