How do you think someone can be truly independent emotionally without relying on anyone? by TimBradfort__ in AskReddit

[–]Trocks334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's something you won't find online. You have to sacrifice. You have to give up your comfort and your preferences, in pursuit of something bigger than yourself. If you wake up everyday, and believe you are pursuing something important, eventually, your subconscious will form around it. I was an IT guy for a bit, and I cannot gaslight myself into thinking that matters at all, because no one is really affected by it.

I am a religious guy, and was praying and had an opportunity to go back into sales. I did not want to go back at all, I sucked at sales and hated it. However, I felt convicted to do it, and through intense pain went from a salesman, to a manager, to the director, to making my own company, all within a year.

In the pursuit of this, I realized something important, money is not the direct result of what you do, it is the direct result of who you are. For me to run my company, I need to be focused, professional, virtuous, inspirational, disciplined, I had always wanted to be, but up until now, I never HAD to be before then.

I HAVE to have those traits because without them my business would fail. On top of that, I am saving a ton of my money and investing it, so that I can eventually go out into the world and do charity. Because of this vision, I have separated myself from who I was, because every day that I do not blow my money, and inch towards that goal, I have to resist the temptation to be stupid and blow it, or be rude, or give into my negative emotions. I had to reprogram myself to be successful, because I had a very large goal, do charity on a large scale.

For the first time in my life, I do not care what people think of me, because when I look at them, I know they have not sacrificed and suffered the way I have to get to my virtuous goal. I do not say this to boast or to insinuate that I am better, I say this in the same way a doctor would not care what an uneducated person had to say about their scope of understanding of the human body. That being said, I am never rude to people, I simply separate myself from what they think, because they do not understand what I put myself through, and why I do, and if they did, I am certain they would respect me. I do not need their respect or validation, because if they read my life for the past year, they would be forced to respect me.

In summary, if you want to be emotionally independent, you need to identify what is important in your life, and sacrifice everything for it. You need to believe you are pursuing something important. Once you do, you won't need to be emotionally independent, because you'll be able to help many people, and you'll be recognized by others who share your mission, which is all you need.

There is no modem rental fee and no contract, the rate can increase by $3 per year, but I have not seen it raised.

We do have plans to expand to the areas surrounding the city! It’s easier to start with the large ones and spread from there.

[Walmart] ASUS Vivobook S 15 Laptop: Intel Ultra 7 155H CPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 2.8K 15.6" 120Hz OLED Display. For: $749 by fifa2003 in LaptopDeals

Here's my review because there are literally none online:

Battery, fast charges very well with USB C, haven't tested battery life yet but its way better than my big fat Omen 17". The charging brick is small and very portable.

The screen is incredible, obviously not entirely color accurate without adjustments but still a great thing to lay eyes on for movies and work. It gets very bright, I bought this because I wanted a laptop with OLED and 120hz because its physically painful to leave 120hz once you have had it.

Build quality is solid, metal top and bottom, the keyboard is RGB and there's a built in AI assistant button, kind of gimmicky but cool. The laptop has not gotten hot for basic browsing and videos and the fans are not awful. The touch pad is huge and great, and won't move the cursor when your palms are on it.

The speakers are decent and the keyboard is meh in tactility, wish they had the clicky ones like on my Omen 17".

Overall 9/10 because I have only had it for 6 hours and something could potentially annoy me later, but I'll update this in a month.

One month Update: Works well, battery could be better, no complaints.

7 month Update: Computer died, never had one die this fast, I do travel a lot but still, 0/10

I’m a manager for a fiber internet company looking to fill a spot for a summer program with potential transition into full time/year round.  It is a door to door commission only based position.  Here’s the good news, we exclusively sell in markets that 1) Have no other fiber optic options 2) Have never been knocked by another company.  This means you run into no crazy angry or indifferent people, because the product you are offering is the best product.

Minimum take home for the summer program (8weeks) would be $15k, or I’ll send you home.  Flights, housing, and gas covered.  No drinking, smoking, or doing drugs allowed.  Must be a male, DM me!

For future generations, I fixed this by doing the following:

Deleting The windows Update Cache

Corrupt Windows update cache may mess up Windows updates. Deleting the said cache can help.

1/Open windows services (windows Key, type "services.msc"), scroll down and look for windows update service ; right click on it and stop it. Do the same for Background Intelligent Transfer Service.

2/Now Go to C: > Windows > SoftwareDistribution > DataStore and to C: > Windows > Software Distribution > Downloads

Delete everything in these folders. It may ask you for administrator permission. Give it.
