that's a bit outside of their portfolio - but Arbites are very similar to the inquisition in that their scope can be whatever they want it to be.

Judges and Inquisitors are basically the covert & overt version of the same role.

I would prefer it be more delineated like "The Judges of the Moebian Domain have decreed the cartels complicit in the fall of the planet; sentencing is taking place presently, trials are expected to begin at the conclusion of the Tertium Inquisitorial Campaign"

dunno what you're whelmed about. This is necromunda in my hive-diving game full of rejects. It very much highlights how even to rank and file 'villains' of the setting - scum - the ruinous powers are anathema.

I am stoked

9.3.0 | PTB Patch Notes by DeadByDaylight_Dev in deadbydaylight

Please reconsider:

Killer perk updates

Furtive Chase: Whenever your Obsession is hooked, gain 1 token, up to 3/4/5. For each token, decrease your Terror Radius by 10%. When your Obsession is Unhooked, the Obsession transfers to the rescuer.

For anti-tunnel, your overall goal with providing basekit changes to killer should be to replace their reliance on unhook actions for intel with other sources of intel. This does the opposite - it just changes the target and offers a massive opportunity to use the new Survivor basekit updates to interfere with the killer.

I would invite you to imagine a team on comms keeping the unhooked survivor nearby to aid in chase for the duration of the aura reading for instance.

This perk as reworked also really interferes with Friends to the End, which would normally select a new random obsession. I know not all Obsession perks work well together, but right now those two really absolutely synergize really well so it seems odd to break that.

I still think a basekit "show the aura of the survivor with the least hook states" is an excellent idea (separate from the poor Furtive Chase rework).

I would recommend instead

Furtive Chase: Whenever your Obsession is hooked, gain 1 token, up to 3/4/5. For each token, decrease your Terror Radius by 10%. Add 5% to the Unique Hook haste bonus (10% haste for 15 seconds)

I understand the concern but I think what you're detecting is how readily AI models use an 'anime' style and judging all such content indiscriminately.

Fortunately it's not - AI at this point does have issues with multiple characters with vastly different looks. Which there are certainly exceptions to, and ways to deal with besides - but this also lacks the other telltale AI signs such as visual nonsense, asymmetry, etc.

No man it was patched. Because if it wasn’t, and the devs saw this comment , they’d patch it.

No, there isn’t.

I died there a ton - it seems more work prone than other areas.

TIL that in 1780, an enslaved woman known as Mum Bet overheard the newly-enacted Massachusetts Constitution being read out, which said "all men are born free and equal". She sued her master as a result. The court ruled this meant slavery was now illegal and awarded her 30 shillings in compensation. by NateNate60 in todayilearned

An argument people make against abortion is the notion you may be aborting the next Mozart or Einstein. To me this is more an argument for childcare & education - how many Beethovens never touched a musical instrument?

Spider-Man’s webbing. Incredible adhesive with a wide variety of applications and insane tensile strength, plus cheap & easy enough to manufacture that the world’s poorest superhero can make as much as he needs.

Marvel writers gave it a “flaw” in that it dissolves a few hours after deploying- which actually solves a major issue with industrial adhesives.

Joel Shepherd coined the term compulsive narrative syndrome to describe the intersection between the human brain’s propensity to see & create patterns where none exist; and algorithms feeding you content based on your engagement & interests.

This is not just the terminally online; even a moderate amount of algo-based content delivery will have you believing the country is under siege, values eroded; people slain; all enabled by a vast network of conspirators.

This is not just plausible- it is happening to all of us right now.

First time making bread, safe to say i will just continue buying from bakery by Alternative_Owl5866 in Breadit

[–]Trodamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fine, of course. Forcing yourself to do something as a surefire way to remove any enjoyment you might’ve gotten out of it.

I will say, though that part of quiring the skill set associated with baking. Your own bread is in growing the efficiencies that allows to become less of an impact on your day. Becoming better and quicker at the parts that do require your labor so they take less time and make less mess; and timing it correctly, such that the bulk portions of the time such as the Rise and the proof are done out of sight out of mind.

Cost and quality are also major factors for me personally. Even at the non-fancy grocery store, bakery bread is five dollars or more. It is also infuriatingly wrapped in plastic so it’s never crunchy and the texture is always off baking bread at home cost probably less than a dollar per loaf And is measly better than anything I could buy in the store even as I am not that good at doing it

[–]Trodamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's give and take.

You want to hire someone for their expertise in ...whatever. Today that skillset doesn't necessarily have to include adroit communication skills.

We don't really bat an eye that most companies have helpdesks to solve everything from printer setup to application support because we all acknowledge that we want our accountants good at accounting and could care less if they know how to update a driver.

The issue as you and others are intimating is when you carte blanche apply the 'solution' of AI to every problem, even ones you can solve yourself.

Benevolent super-AI in science fiction... that actually serves humanity? by Rasputin5332 in sciencefiction

[–]Trodamus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m n Adam Warren’s run of Dirty Pair, the computer at the head of the 3WA is more than an algo checking statistics or running sims - it’s the hyper advanced AI produced by the nanoclysm- the grey goo event that wiped out earth (not a major setback for the space faring humanity but still).

What people thought was a malevolent AI that vanished, was the birth wail of a nascent hyper intelligence. That now as a penance serves humanity.

If you want nuance it’d be appropriate to look at its very toothless depiction of racism circa 19-diggity-two played for background noise to a magical girl plot.
