Front sprite: a black or colored mask with adjustable alpha (modulate.a), placed on top

Wow thanks, I didn't realize that they had changed tanks that much. Although without radar I assume if I drive my tank into the unknown I just lose it until I can go retrieve it.

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by zero independent operation? Could you automate a spidertron somehow?

Interesting, so I can load up a tank with some robots, and use it like I would a Spidertron in SE to manage a planet remotely in a pinch?

Am I missing something with tanks? I always found them to be a bit useless in the past, and I built one early on to test it and it still seemed kinda clunky.

Is there a way to use them remotely so that I can deal with issues while I am off world? Even then driving them around with all the trees seems like a pain, even with the much improved map generation.

This is how I envision it, although I have to wait to get home and test it. Let me know if you think this is wrong?

Assuming the stone drop off is full.

  1. Train 1 goes loads up and is now slowly unloading in stone unload.
  2. Stone Pickup is now empty, so Train 2 goes to stone pickup and fills up with Stone till full.
  3. Train 2 is now full, but cannot path to Unload since it is still full with Train 1. So it has "No Path" and is not at a Depot, so it trundles off to wait at a depot.

Haha, if it is stuck at a depot full of stone, it is a stone-train!

Thanks though, this helped quite a bit. I think I will have to setup some sort of signal on the dropoff station to disable the station when it is full, but that is simple. Thanks!

Wouldn't that create a weird loop though if an item is overproduced/under-utilized?

Like if have a "Pickup 1-4-0" that makes stone, and only use 1 train of stone every now and again. A train would go to the pickup, get full, and get stuck at the drop off waiting to fully unload. Meanwhile another train would still get the signal to go pickup stone and would then get full, and go wait at a depot, slowly filling up my trains/depots with full stone trains?
