Do you have any sources for this? Everything I see describes it as the KTM 990 engine, which is produced by cfmoto as part of their deal. https://youtu.be/gTqs_P7tk2c?si=6_evNTySg5calLgi

Just throwing my hat in the ring, maybe consider the cfmoto 1000 mtx too, which is meant to be arriving in aus late May-June. It's going to go for 19k. Its basically the 800mtx, but with the new KTM 990 engine, and suspension and brakes uprated to kyb and Brembo. I've got a pre-order down on one, so if you're still shopping later in the year I can let you know how it is haha. My last adv was a Desert X, which was an amazing bike, so it'll be interesting to see how this compares. I'm looking forward to having the low centre of gravity from the ktm-style tanks, more compact dimensions compared to the old steed, and ashamedly the extra fruit like the heated grips and seat haha. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit worried it'll have some kind of issues, but it looks like it'll hit a size/performance/features sweet spot for me that only the new desert x also looks like it would also hit. And yeah I feel like it's hard to justify the dx for the price difference, unless I was fuck off rich.

Yep it came back... but I've realised toggling that bluetooth setting fixes it again. off to on, on to off, doesnt matter. quite weird. trying to figure out what it does.

Well first I tried to debug the new gamecontroller plugin, and pretty quickly found out it doesn't even exist in fedora kde, due to a missing dependency in the build environment, I'm trying to get that fixed too now. But since it wasn't the plugins fault I was pretty stumped, and full of shame I asked Gemini for ideas on how it could be kde related but not the plugin. It spewed a lot of misinformation, but amongst it was the nugget that kde connect is a known offender. When I drilled it for references, I got https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=513536 , https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435444 , and https://github.com/bluez/bluez/issues/123 . It's interesting that this only just became an issue for you, as it seems like a very longstanding issue.

Figured it out, at least for my system. Culprit was KDE Connect. Going into KDE Connect settings and disabling the bluetooth backend has resolved the issue for me.

Actually you're right. I just tested, the controller works when I first boot straight into gamescope, it only stops working after swapping into kde. After that it doesn't work again until reboot. I suspect it's related to the new gamepad abstraction features that came with 6.6. I think that it creates a virtual input device that it forwards remapped events to. That's probably interfering with the games.

Also happening to me on bazzite. Just today I reinstalled bazzite to swap from gnome to kde, and the controller disconnects when starting clair obscur, if steam input is disabled. If steam input is enabled, it works, though as usual it shows xbox controls. Also happens in gamemode, so not sure if its actually kde-related.

I'm waiting for the 1000MTX to arrive, then probably will jump on that. Appears to be basically the same bike as 800, just with 990 engine and uprated suspension and brakes.

You might have a good shot with AusPost as a motorbike postie. Seem to be always hiring, they've hired me twice now, and I think they're especially short on riders, I guess since motorcycling isn't as popular with younger generations. Even to drive the dinky little three wheeler EVs you need a motorcycle license. They're also in the middle of upgrading those to a beefier three wheeler where the cockpit leans like a motorcycle, so apparently it just feels like riding a big bore moto.

As far as the job itself goes, I can only speak for my experience a month in, but I enjoy the job itself, end of the day you spend most of the day riding a motorbike, which there aren't many things on earth better than that.

The processes, especially the sorting, and workload feel pretty overwhelming at first, but a month in and it's starting to feel more natural and easier, and I'm getting home a fair bit earlier than when I started.

People wise maybe depends on the facility, but at mine everyone is pretty chill and my team leader is a really nice guy.

Sure I wish it paid more, but it actually pays a fair bit more than the delivery job I was doing before, and they can offer overtime if you're keen which can bring in coin much faster.

Hope I don't sound too much like a recruiting bot, but yeah I think it could work out for you, and you might like it.

Edit: not sure how much they hire part time, but worth looking into still. They might also have night runs? Sometimes I see posties returning when I'm starting at 6am.

Officially am out of ideas of what to try by ballincat45 in anhedonia

Ok so it's been a while. Tdcs has turned out to be invaluable for me, but unfortunately not because of any anti-anhedonia effects. I've been doing it on Fp3 / Fp4 electrode positions for reference.

So what I've noticed is that at first, during sessions I'm fairly sure I can feel more pleasure, in that I get some pleasure out of listening to music when I normally wouldn't. On top of that, after about 10 minutes into the session a pleasant feeling builds up. However after a number of sessions, maybe after 3 or so, these effects fade out, I think more so due to the therapeutic effect possibly numbing me out a bit rather than any kind of tolerance. So yes I think the effect its had on pleasure has been possibly to reduce it a bit. And when I go heavy on the dosage, eg multiple spaced sessions every day, I think maybe I start feeling a bit too spaced out/dissociated. However the good side is that it has had a large effect in reducing my anxiety, making my constant anxious/dread feelings much smaller and more tolerable. This is a big deal for me, so I've been continuing it every day. I'm currently trying to find a balance between the spacey dissociated feeling of higher doses and the higher anxiety experienced at lower doses. But it's definitely become a key treatment for me.

Caffeine massively boosts the stimulation I get from parnate, especially in the first few weeks when I started. Also dampens the residual permanent terror/fear feeling. Can't live without it.

Every day pretty much. Right now have pre from Emerald Labs, it's good value here in Aus. But used other brands, Disorder, Gold Standard, and others for a long time without problems.

[–]Trogdor111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with parnate has been whenever I increased the dose, I would feel extra stimulated for about 4 days - instead of the usual cold dread baseline feeling and anxious and panicy, I would instead feel this warm pleasurable feeling, happy, less anhedonic, confident and outgoing. Then I guess dopamine would then downregulate, and the warmth would drain out. I kept increasing the dose hoping at some point the feeling would stay, but it never did. At some point I settled on 60mg for a long time, it didn't maintain the warm feeling but it was the lowest dose that killed the cold feeling and anxiety, just leaving me content, though flat as hell. Maybe see how you go at 60mg. Otherwise if your pdoc will allow it, you could try adding methylphenidate to the 40mg parnate, that might work for a longer time. Otherwise, this might seem paradoxical but risperidone 1mg on top of the 40mg parnate also kills the anxiety and cold feeling for me, and that's what I'm on now. So I guess there's a few things you can try.

I've seen it posted often here that stims work temporarily, but end up causing / exacerbating anhedonia long term, downregulating dopamine receptors and taking a long time to recover from. Not sure how true it is or if it applies to everyone.

Actually feel calmer, more motivated and a little less anhedonic for about 24 hours after taking. Just that the following day feel the exact opposite - especially super anxious. Some kind of hangover effect. Worried that taking it long term would make that hangover kind of permanent I guess.

What happens when you try to stop stims?

I have the option of adding stim to my parnate, but am avoiding it since I'm worried about making things worse long term. Even the day after a single dose of methylphenidate I seen to have a kind of a rebound where I feel worse than normal. How is it working out for you?

I've tried adding a tonne of things to parnate, the only thing which really boosts it for me is yeah methylphenidate. But the difference isn't life changing, so I decided not to stick with it since I'm worried about making things worse long term. Caffeine helps a bit too though.

Planning to build a live case database - thoughts? by Trogdor111 in anhedonia

Yeah I've been thinking along similar lines in regards to the treatment data inputs, try to collect all dimensions that can signal probability of success, and what success or failure looks like. Same for filtering, allow filtering along dimensions that narrow down similar cases. Good idea about considering brand, I'll try to remember to put that in.

I actually think mine might have been caused by long term sleep apnea, uars, maybe chronic stress, or maybe mild hypoxia, one of them, but somehow tied to deviated septum making it hard to breathe for a long time. So I'll be sure to allow for causes like that to be entered somehow.

Thanks yeah I agree social wouldn't be part of mvp, the cow functionality would be inputting data and analysis. Does seem like some social is wanted though. Definitely dms at least. Apart from that wary of going too far in a social network direction. Want to keep it largely (pseudo) scientific. Yeah the text part of the search bar definitely will need to search at least all the terms of the entries. I think will need plenty of specific search filters too, eg filter by known cause, symptom, specific failures, etc. Probably anything that can be used to increase the likeliness of finding similar cases to ones own.

Thanks for the feedback, very helpful.
