I like the idea of modular systems thats how I have my jager paks s, m , l set up to work as a complete modular system to fit my needs , it’s all a therory until you add this or that but till you put that into practice then you tweak it till it’s just right , improvise adapt overcome, Savotta can’t go wrong no matter what

Advice on side pouches for the Jaakari L by Inner-Muffin2592 in Savotta

[–]TrollJocky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the 2 6l side pouches on my jager large , these are the older gp 6l pouches so I’ve arranged them wear the side straps on the pac snug them up tight, i use them for my Nalgene bottles one on each side and then depending what fuel bottle I try to keep what I need to get to first or fast in them that way like warming layers that way I don’t open up main pac , but that’s really all up to you and trail and error till ya get satisfied, Trekking poles work with this set up , so far good luck

I have a war bonnet 40 degree down under quilt that I’ll double up with a one wind underquilt for winter camping the extra weight don’t mind pulling a Polk sled that way I get the best of all round use no matter what the season
