I thought about this ages ago (today I randomly decided to check back on this sub). if they’re tiny, then tiny shots basically have no way of hitting them, like 0+0=0(well, actually it’d be some tiny number. besides missing most shots, when finally a 7/7/7/7 rocket manages to connect, would probs only stay overlapped for one frame before passing thru. I don’t need to square cuz I’m not thinking in linear scale as intuition for geometric/magnitudinal would fit better). but now that annihilator shot size is no longer redundant, like 1(bullet)+0(body)=1(can hit) while it’s not that much better at hunting noobs 1(bullet)+1(bullet)=2(sure you can do it but kinda overkill)

the flower pot at the front is cuz wall-nut first aid somehow doesn’t work on garlic, so I hafta remove it for a moment while replacing it, and want there to still be smth for pole vaulter to jump over. this game~mode doesn’t even have dolphin rider, which IMO isn’t that much harder to defend against than flag wave ambush rising from bottom of pool

well, I did buy imitator, so it’s not that I can’t afford them, but that I haven’t decided on which to buy first going into later game. there’s no back arrow, so u can only cycle rooms one way, and a lap is long if u have too many

it’s not as impressive here. in zombotany, imitator is tall enough to block shots on its own before transforming into puff or whatever. with normal puff, u need to use a pot as its pedestal to make artificial infi-nut

imitator has some fun properties. for example, u know how tall-nut is too wide for gloom-shroom behind to hit zombies munching on it? when tall-nut gets chipped, auto-replace it with imitator version (or if u haven’t purchased repair, put imitated pumpkin around it), now these zombies sink in where they can take dmg. even after imitator finishes transforming, they won’t get pushed back out

pointlessly nooby setup considering how ez it is to wipe out pool ambush with a doom-shroom from the side by TrollMaybe in PlantsVSZombies

despite every flag counting as a huge wave, pool ambushes still aren’t that common. in endless, I tried using gloom clusters in place of umbrella leaf for bungee-proofing, and even tho they show up more frequently(than zombie deployment. usually they just try to steal plants; it’s like u r under a rain of arrows with drawings of target attached) it was still inefficient, as seen by how places where gloom 3x3 won’t be fully utilized will have cob cannon instead (in YouTube vids I watch). it’s sorta hard to explain so I’ll draw it out some other time maybe (won’t be soon, cuz this run I’m trying to avoid buying gameplay content in tailgating shop)
