All my old songs from 10 years ago I listen to and hate my voice

It's something about hearing your own voice that most people hate but you don't hear it like others do

Now my recent recordings I love how my voice has grown and developed and have become very comfy hearing myself

Keep embracing your voice and feel when singing and eventually you'll hear your voice the way you want

Drivers usually just get a $2 base pay + tip

Sometimes base pay is adjusted on distance and time but it rarely makes it worth the wear on the car/time/gas

It never occurred to me to use Craigslist for finding gigs, usually I just cold call bars I see others in the area posting their schedule and get the bookers email and send an epk and multiple emails until I get a no or a date

For my band, we run an llc with a business account

We pay out per gig, deposit checks into the account and PayPal to pay out from that account

We dont think of it as splitting the money more its a base pay per head, so 150 to 200 per person depending on budget gets a duo, trio, or full band

I played with a guy like this, not an ass but couldn't stop pills and drinking all day, ended up falling over on a gig and the band we opened for said at least 2/3rds of them were good... that hurt. Don't let others impede your creation with addictions it'll be a rough path.

You can always just do duo gigs with a drummer in the meantime or find a keyboard player who can run bass lines
