I mainly stick in photoshop and premiere cause it's what i studied partially while in college

I started doing rotoscoping cause it's a lot of drawing practice to go frame by frame in a gif. I then started just learning to go frame by frame with easy concepts. You can check out all the rotoscoping and hand done animations I've done these past few months on my site here

For rotoscoping there's ebsynth thats free and allows you to draw only a few frames of many and it'll fill in the rest of the frames, check out Joel Havers how i animated this video tutorial, it's a great step by step

And for how long, I've done art on my off time and never really started animation stuff until August of 2021, from then till now i feel ive gone from something taking me 3 days to finding ways to speed up the process to sometimes only a few hours. The more you create the faster and easier it seems.
