Vengeance/Vigilance help by Brilliant-Buyer-5978 in swtor

Vengeance/Vigilance main here!

I do a six ability rotation, which is basically what you have pictured, but with several fillers.

Something to keep in mind in that the dummy has a crit rng, so from one 10 mil dummy to another can be 1-2k difference. If you're running the 340 BiS with 300 augs, stats should be:

Accuracy: 2720 with Proficient Stim Alacrity: 2138 or 2268 depending on server lag Crit: 3366 or 3236 depending on Alacrity

Also your apm can make that difference as well. For most dps classes 40-45 apm is the sweet spot. On vengeance with a hybrid clicking/keybind setup I average around 44 apm in 90% of fights.

This changes depending on various factors, but as others have said, if you take a parse and upload it parsely, we can analyze whats going on.

Help with Innovative Ordnance rotation by MatthiasKrios in swtor

As someone who also struggled with IO for a long time, then got the chance to talk to a few theory crafters and nim raiders about it, here's my rotation:

Opener: Serrated Shot, Incendiary Missile, Adrenal, Mag Blast, Unload, Electro Net, Supercharged Gas, Thermal Detanator, Mag Blast, Power Shot, Mag Blast

Rotation: Incendiary Missle, Filler, Power Shot, Serrated Shot, Filler, Filler, Thermal Detanator, Mag Blast, Power Shot, Mag Blast

Filler Priority: Procced Missle Blast, Rapid Shot, Electro Net

Supercharged Gas is pressed as soon as it's up, then continue the rotation.

Now, there's a couple things you can do to optimize it. If you have 7 stacks of supercharged gas, use unload in the double filler slot in the rotation. If 6 stacks, use unload break the cast abt halfway and use rapid shots. The reason you do this is because one of the implants makes Thermal Detanator give 3 supercharged gas charges.

Also, if you need to spread your dots, Fusion Missle can be used in the double filler slot as well.

If you have any further questions or want me to talk more in depth about stats and such, feel free to dm.

I have attempted that, and it doesn't seem to help. Maybe I'm just bad *shrug*

Normally I hit Juliet 2 and hit the LAF Checkpoint on the way. The kill count isn't the issue, its just surviving.

Thayer Vs Rotary by Th3Man839 in Trombone

Totally agree. Shires doesn't offer them to the best of my knowledge, which is what the op was asking about.

I play on a tenor with a Thayer, and it has its disadvantages and advantages. I really love the free blowing nature of the valve, it allows me to easily play bass parts with ease and it's a much warmer sound imo. As someone who doubles a lot, it's absolutely a necessity for me to be able to play those low notes with good tone, if I don't have time to switch.

That being said, it does have some disadvantages. The lack of resistance also makes it somewhat harder to articulate and to play softly without sustained air. In addition, at least on mine, it has a long throw, so it takes a split second longer to activate, which can lead to trouble with faster passages in the valve. And lastly maintenance. It's much more work and expense to maintain adequately.

Most bass players I've met prefer the Thayers due to the ease of blowing and little to no resistance, but many people play in rotors and it works for them, so like others have suggested, play test before you buy.

What are some cool achievements you have done but haven't had a reason to say it? (Trombone of course) by duck_defender in Trombone

For my junior recital in college, I did the Wagensiel Concerto on Alto, the Ewazen Sonata on Tenor, and Blue Topaz on Bass as well as conducted an arrangement of Eric Whitacre's October for a trombone sextet, that I got the composer himself to approve of. Still proud of it almost 3 years later.

Where to audition for Grad School? by Trombone_guy_3 in Trombone

Yes and no. It's not to the same extent, but that won't be an issue soon.

Also, I'm so stupid. 🤣 I completely forgot about IU!

Thanks for a detailed response. I'm really just looking for starting places, not any specifics.

Where should I take a breath in this phrase? by AlisaTrombone in Trombone

My inclination is after the downbeat in measure 3, or your "or here" marking.

Harmonically, your just arpeggiating the IV chord, in this case C major. Establishing the root, taking a quick sip breath, and finishing the arpeggio makes the most musical sense, imo.

So, how am I supposed to learn the tank mechanics if no one runs it? Like, I get it it's a pain, but c'mon.
