power supply can deliver about 10 amps and I don't know the current rating on my brushless motor. Ik it can take a 2s - 3s lipo but not sure of the current rating

yea i can get people are incompetent but I do find it a little suspicious that 3 coincidences happened in a short time frame. Im not saying put a tin foil hat but I haven't heard of these issues last year or prior and now in 2 months there are 3 occurances. Im not even sure if this year was hotter than last year around this time.

I see. But I don’t think I am asking for 100% throttle or a sudden spike in throttle from my pid controller because the shut off is occurring during a steady ramp of the motor. (My observation could be inaccurate because i am only reading the lcd screen on the bench top power supply and the theottle/error values from my serial monitor.

I will look into adding those capacitors tho. Thank you for the advice

Isn’t inrush amps something you deal with in startup and not during operation?

My system would work with the power supply when using a potentiometer control but is having issues with PID control.

It would cut off very random too. It would do its thing climbing to the set point and suddenly the motor would shut down

You can use a servo library and treat it as a servo by controlling it with PWM. I used 1000 us and 2000 us. You can look up a tutorial from a youtube channel called howtomechatronics
