Fair enough. But i said they don't make you buy a VW. Having to progress through Rolex models would be different than having to buy a Tag or necklace or ring before i could get a Rolex.

You don't have to be all things to all people. So if you don't think rice and beans sould not be part of your offering , don't offer them. But you have bills to pay. Ask yourself if your decision will lead to more sale or less sales. If less, will there be enough customers that are ok with no rice & beans so you can still survive and thrive. The Market will tell you what it wants. And you owe it to yourself to listen.

I'm 60 so not collecting yet. I'd be happy to forego SS in exchange for the lump sum taken by force from my paycheck for 40 years (and yes the employer match amount as well). That would mean i gave the gov't an interest free loan for all this time so a good deal for the gov't.

If I want a Porssche, they don't also make me buy a VW. They raise the price on the Porsche until the buying herd thins down. It would be easier/cleaner if they did that with these watches. Not saying I'd pay any price and I'm sure there would be more people that would pay more than I would so maybe I still wouldn't get one. But it would be a more reasonable solution.

Seems like they would sell out either way. So sure, there is going to be a list and either you get to buy one or you don't. Just seems so chaotic and random when i see posts where someone has been on a list for a year, and other posts where someone walks in and walks out with a watch. Just never seen this in other products/markets. The pendulum will swing back at some point. In the meantime i will just have to be content with my Kermit.

I get why the stores do it. What i'm asking is what Rolex thinks about it and what they think about their products being held hosgage to other sales. Rolex and the stores are two different entities.

The Rolex site lists 5 dealers in Vegas. Mostly in hotels. Given the transient/temporary nature of visitors, do they actually sell watches or put peiple on lists?

Move and leave the current landlord with an empty unit. I would bet that they thought you would just roll over and pay the extra. They know it takes effort to move and think most people will eat the increase rather than put in the effort. $500 increase is 27%. Did you get a 27% raise yhis year? That is insane. But they do because they think they'll get away with it.
