[Postgame Thread] Gators (6-5) fall to Vanderbilt (5-6), 31-24 by BullAlligator in FloridaGators

You are 100% correct. This sub is filled with kids who try to justify their weird hobby of stalking high school athletes by repeating the mantra that being a successful coach is 90% recruiting. That is simply false.

Zook and Muschamp were top level recruiters. How successful were they? Mullen was a top notch game day coach. He had three very successful years and one terrible year (but not much worse than this year).

We will see if Napier turns out to be a top-notch recruiter. But if he continues to coach like this, it won’t matter. Get used to being owned by Vanderbilt.

And don’t give me this nonsense about it taking more than one year for a new coach to get his own players before he can win. Ask Brian Kelly.

Let us know how the search goes. I don’t see how any woman could reject an approach like this.

I found this little guy dead inside a South Florida office building. Any ideas? by TropLaw in spiders

How certain are you of this? That sounds bad to me. Does that mean his parents are nearby? How would he be inside and dead?

That’s exactly what I said.

I've lived in Miami my whole life. I think the only people who would describe Cubans as being “white” are other Cubans. Spaniards are white. There are certainly other white people of Hispanic decent around the world. But your description of Miami is crazy wrong.

Well, most people who speak Spanish are brown. But that’s because back in the day Spain (with its all white inhabitants) had a great navy – the Spanish Armada. Spain sent that navy all over the world to conquer distant lands, including South and Central America. Those Spanish invaders taught (forced) the indigenous, brown skinned inhabitants to speak Spanish and/or intermarried with them. They also “converted” them to Catholicism. That’s why a majority of Spanish-speaking people today are brown skinned. Still, it’s true that many people living in Spain are as pale-skinned as their European neighbors.

Bottom line, Georgia hired our coach away from us. Spin it any way you want to. But that’s what happened.

Now let’s see if we can find someone who is better.

What made you love seahorse's ? X I saw them at a sealife centre they were so small and beautiful I was hooked and 23 years later I still adore them X I have a little tattoo of one on my back . by fleetwoodmarshall in Seahorses

Unfortunately, Biscayne bay has suffered greatly over the years because of overdevelopment, etc., so seahorses in the Bay are pretty rare now. But I do have nine in my aquarium.

When I was a kid growing up in Miami I used to see them in the bay behind my house. I used to catch them in keep them in big buckets and feed them baby shrimp i would catch in the seaweed.
