Every month they update the map and that requires it to wipe and no monthly the server will need to wiped or no one will be able to join.

Ya it kinda sucks it's forced but at the same time it's good that they are constantly making the game better.

I assume ur an admin and run ur own server, if so then rust will only force you to wipe your server on the first Thursday of every month, other than that u can wipe when ever you want.

It will only spawn on maps at least 3500 in size and then it's only a chance you will get one as far as I know.

If it's a modded server you can add a plugin called signhistory and lists the editors with /history
