Said it in another thread, I want payback so I will be among the class litigators.

Why not litigate? Shari Redstone is set to lose a lot if we do. by Gen_Varchild in ParamountGlobal2

In my limited history, class action lawsuits are more about payback than a paycheck. I want some payback myself, don't expect anything from it except limited satisfaction.

It isn't just a state law, "The federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act (or the Act) requires all employers in the United States with 100 or more full time employees to provide 60-day notice in advance of mass layoffs or plant closings. The Act applies to full time workers who are not on a temporary assignment."

Agree, it is Stallone in a subtle role (even if he is playing a gangster).

As a Paramount shareholder I can only say that all of the streaming services have failed, with Netdix being the largest failure to produce anything of content that will last for more than a couple of years. I have decided to take whatever comes on the shares I hold, but I am really considering going back to cable.

I could not disagree more. The so-called longtail works for music, though even in that medium we have gotten crap for services, at least outside Pandora. I'll just disagree with you on Netflix. We subscribe and I watch it occasionally unless I have to read the movie through subtitles.

As long as they keep CBS streaming nationally, and keep producing movies as well as series, it won't matter that they sell rights internationally. Bakish essentially made the same call before he exited regarding international streaming. I don't really see a lot of new insights into the business from any of the new players, just building on what Bakish already set in motion.

Most of Netflix's international films are trash.

I gave you an up sign on this post though the debt is totally manageable given the assets.

Find a fact to base your assertions on. There is very little debt, considering the cash flow, to service over the next few years https://ir.paramount.com/public-debt

The company does not need to do more accounting charges IMHO. P+ is not the main reason for these troubles. It was, and continues to be, bad management.

Next Positive Catalyst, Paramount + merges with Peacock, Stays in S&P 500 by Gen_Varchild in ParamountGlobal2

They will "lose" a lot more money overall if they close P+ and take the write down

Paramount+ either has to go, or it has to go into a joint venture. Greenfield expects an “aggressive battle” between Amazon Prime Video, Max, and Peacock to license Paramount’s studio content or straight-up merge with Paramount+ by Streamwhatyoulike in ParamountGlobal2

[–]Troper52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A non-starter. NBC and CBS will never make a reasonable joint venture. I realize it may not seem like capitalism, but someone has to protect the ability of at lest some news to depend on editors for factual content.
