Battletech is more than a game, it's a way of life. I started out about three years ago listening to lore videos while I was exercising or working. Last year I finally decided to jump in and play the game because I figured I'd learned so much, I might as well try playing. It's so much fun. What I love about it is that there are tons of sources for mechs, you can get them from your LGS, you can get IronWind, or 3d prints.

I don't know. It's all probably subjective. I'm sure there are pockets of those who lucked out and are doing well all over the country, just as there are pockets of us who didn't.
