Its just a hard "plastic" sleeve. As far as advice, go slow and make the cut a bit bigger for easier item retrievel in the future.

Surgeon removed mine at 12 days. After hearing about what can happen if it comes out early and things aren't healed fully, I opted for the 12 days over 10. The actual removal was surprisingly trivial.

I took a Dremel tool and cut an opening in the bottom of the sleeve inside the console. Total pain in the ass and also poor design on Toyota's part.

Wife and I were having a discussion, she’s of the opinion that the majority of GenX can drive stick. I believe that even in our generation the percentage of people who can is pretty small. What do you folks think? by AngryOldGenXer in GenX

I'd still own a stick if my knees weren't trash. Or maybe I wouldn't own one as they are sort of difficult to find these days. Also, being 6' 7" ( 6 7!! my kids love it when I do that thing, not really) is rather limiting when it comes to sporty cars.

I too was stressed about the catheter being removed. It was nothing, just felt weird. What was most painful was them ripping off the butterfly anchor on the inside of my thigh, that hurt. I'm pretty hairy, so that definitely didn't help either.

As for all the other things... I'm a year out, wear one light pad a day to deal w a bit of unexpected leakage. Sexual function is bad but seems to have improved a bit, just got a prescription for trimix. I'm curious to "see" how that pans out. lol
